Dimensional cards are always my favorite choice, especially creating my own flowers. In many years of adding banners to cards, I have never thought to curve the individual pennants...thank you for this idea. Watching skilled hands at work always teaches me something new! Wonderful to see and compare flat card to dimensional card...dimensional wins every time!! I do enjoy fussy cutting and experimenting with how the images can be used. Not a fan of Clean And Simple cards...too much open space for me...the more pieces I can work into a cohesive design, the better. You've given me so many exciting ideas. Thank you!
Lucy, your cards are like mini works of art! I don't know that I would take the time to do all of the bending and shaping, but the effect is fantastic. Maybe I can find a middle ground. Watching your video was a "correction" of sorts to my thinking..... I saw the baby stuff and small animals and immediately dismissed this kit thinking, "I don't make many baby cards anymore." But when I see the beauty of the kit overall brought to life in your video, I realized it doesn't have to be all about making baby cards.
Amazing Lucy! Given me a different perspective on how to use patterned and/or themed papers. Didn't think to cut them out and make them dimensional!🤦♀️🤣
All of the cards are lovely! You really are so creative! I think both flat & dimensional are pretty, but I lean towards dimension! Thank you!! 💫🎀💫 I like the banner trick!!
I found your tips very useful. The flat cards are beautiful but i do love how the dimension on them brings them up to a whole new level. All the cards are gorgeous. I didn't think that collection was for me but im thinking now I have to get it. ❤
Hi Lucy, all of the cards are beautiful, I have started to give my cards dimensional, since watching , I must admit they do look better, klove your work❤❤ Carol
Lucy you are so talented and very generous sharing all your tips & tricks and creating so many motivational sample cards - I love watching you cut, bend, twist and shape and shuffle tiny little bits of paper to produce amazing cards. Thank you so much.
Love how you add the dimension to the cards Lucy. Love how you made them. Both version are delightful but the added dimension really lifts the cards to the next level.
The dimensional card looks so much better. I enjoyed learning from you today and will follow you now. The tips you shared as well as your soothing voice are lovely!
All the cards are beautiful, but the dimensional ones are extra special. Just received my card kit yesterday and now you've given me some great ideas. Thank you. I'm impressed with the amount of work you put into fussy cutting.
Lucy I enjoy your work so much. Thank you for sharing. You give both versions which I love to see, sometimes I only have time for the flat version but love to see what the other outcome would look like. I learn so much from your videos. Thank you so much.
Beautiful cards - when you see the two together the dimensional ones do look fantastic and more interesting. I do like layers although I haven't got into the habit of bending the pieces, must remember to do that.
Dear Lucy, this was an awesome video. Your cards are so beautiful, both the flat and dimensional versions, and you are always so generous with teaching us your tips and tricks 😊 I absolutely love dimension too so they are my favourite ones for sure. I discovered Uniquely Creative through your video's and absolutely love the few things I have purchesed from them, such beautiful quality. You always inspire me Lucy, thank you 🥰
You are inspirational to many of us, it’s all depends who I’m making my cards for wether I go flat or dimensional but I enjoy the journey which ever way I go
I do prefer the dimensional cards but I struggle with choosing the right elements. You videos have been a TREMENDOUS help. Thank you for sharing your creativity.❤
I prefer the dimensional cards. Most of my cards just consisted of using foam tape but since watching your channel I use your "rounding" technique more often. It's really worth the effort. Thanks Lucy.
What a great vid - loved to see the difference between flat and dimensional. Thanks for all your tips, too ❤ I must tell you - I had been doing a fair bit of fussy cutting lately, inspired by you and your fabulous tips, and this morning cut some recipes from a magazine, and caught myself fussy cutting them! 🤭
I love all the cards but i do like the extra dimension more than the flat cards, it shows that you have put a lot of thought into the cards. Lucy its always hard to pick a favourite card in the ones you make as they are all unique in their composition and design. i absolutely love them all. Stunning designs all of them.
Lucy! This is definitely my jam. I am loving and loving the dimension. I love this paper pack anyway but wow, you have really stepped it up a notch and I adore it.🎉 thank you for sharing all your tips. 💛TR
Both cards are amazing. But I really love the dimension. Have been watching your tutorials for ages now and have decided I’m going to give these dimensional cards a go. Just have to get the right products. 😊 thank you. ❤
Love your cards. I also like dimension on my cards. When I'm out of foam tape or want something a little firmer I cut up scrap card stock & glue it together to provide dimension. It works quite nicely & goes through the US mail very well. Thanks for sharing your creativity. 💜
Thank you! Oh yes, it's a fantastic way to recycle and works just as well doesn't it, I use scrap card often, I even did it in this video. I find scraps are also perfect for when I want just a little bit of height rather than foam tape height. XOX
Lucy, beautiful, as usual. I always forget about bending or curling my flowers, leaves and other elements. Thanks for the reminder! I wouldn't have thought this color combination and all the elements would work for a baby card. I seldom need to make them anymore, but I just found out my son's best friend (well, his wife, obviously) just had their second child. This gives me ideas about using things I already have to make their "congrats" card.
Hi Lucy, I just went back & saw that I won a voucher so sent you an email..Thankyou so much...love Uniquely Creative & your cards are always beautiful ❤😊
Whether I do dimension or more flat all depends on how much time I have, and how badly I need to craft. These cards are gorgeous! I really want this kit.
Hi Lucy. When I saw that this kit was about babies, I decided I wouldn't get it, but now, watching how you create different types of cards I really want to purchase it! Flat or dimensional, either way. Flat is better for posting, but I love dimensional effects. You are a very gifted artist and I just love watching your videos. Hugs
Thanks for doing the same cards flat and dimensional. It was very useful. The layered ones are really beautiful but the flat ones are very pretty too. I probably do more dimension but not as much as you do.
Another beautiful set of cards Lucy! your tutorials have given me the confidence to try more things in my cardmaking journey. I was wondering if you would be able to do a tutorial on how you design and print your own sentiments. I would love to learn that too :)
Thank you so much! I would love to make a video on designing and printing sentiments! It’s on my list, I just have to figure out how to video my computer screen! 😊♥️♥️
way back 25 years ago card making was stamping and A LOt of paper tricks. Layering differently, different ways to mat, etc. We used a lot more patterned paper and I can’t even believe this because I’m such a big die cutter, but we had very few dies then and I only remember ones that matched the stamp set. Idt we had stand alone or word dies at all. Alphabet yeah, but It was just a lot of paper. And eyelets! I have thousands of eyelets still and I love them as accents on a card! Now I use enamel dots instead but I’m going to try to remember to use up some of my eyelets. It’s the same kind of accent piece.
Hi Lucy! I was wondering why I hadn’t seen a video from you in over a week. I found out I somehow was unsubscribed!! Not sure how that happened, but I’m glad I found the problem. You are one beautiful lady and my all time favorite RUclipsr ❤
Aww, thank you so much for the lovely compliments Jackie, you're so sweet and I'm happy you came looking for me when you were no longer subscribed to me! 😊XOX
Thanks for this comparison video Lucy. I definitely prefer the raised look to flat but don’t know that I would have the patience to do as much as you. Also I’m not a fan at fussy cutting & my attempts are rubbish 😢. But I will keep trying 😊
Beautiful cards . Love the dimension but flat ones are still lovely . It would depend if I am posting or hand delivering . Wouldn’t trust our postal service to get a elevated card delivered in one piece x
As always, just the best. How do we pick one?? I do love the raised cards. That’s if I’m personally handing out the card. But you can tell the love you put into yours. Thanks again Diane ❤🎉
So pretty Lucy especially the little deer and rabbit card. I love the dimension but unfortunately our postage has gone through the roof so can’t add much depth at all if posting 😔. Thank you for sharing xx ❤
I started sculpting last year and did it to a 3 layer poinsettia that was on the front of my 31 Christmas cards!!!! My fingers were so sore! Once you start doing it, you can’t go back to flat die cuts. Same with ink blending die cuts. Once I started shading my die cuts I couldn’t go back to just colored cardstock. Even just a little shading is all I have to do. but it’s funny how you can’t go bk to the other way.
Love your dimensional cards but here in the UK 🇬🇧 our postage is so much high for dimensional cards. We have normal postage stamps but dimensional cards need what is called a large stamp. I only do dimensional for ones I'm giving by hand. Thank you for all the tips ❤
Yes, we have that same issue here with postage, thin mail can be 5mm deep which, if there's one extra layer, it's ok but more than that and we have to pay more. XOX
Dimensional cards are always my favorite choice, especially creating my own flowers. I love clean and simple cards that other people make, but I am like you, I like adding things on the card front!!
Thank you so much, I’m so happy to hear this video gave you some ideas, especially about the banners 🤗♥️♥️
@@marthastrayton Nice to know there are other card makers like me out there...thank you!
@@marthastraytonyou’re spot on Lucy does amazing work. I appreciate the effort so much. The designs are gorgeous.
All the cards are beautiful, the dimensional ones have that extra "Wow" factor.

Lovely cards, extra layering really brings the to life
Thanks so much, I'm so happy you agree dimension really brings cards to life! 😊♥️♥️
