I know, i bought one... No matter what SIM, network part wil not work. So I condemned it to the work van as an analog Radio, but now I cannot even get the receiver to open on a signal, no matter the squelch setting. So have to manually monitor a channel. But as soon as I hit TX the monitor settings closes and I have to manually open it again to hear the returning RX... The damn thing sucks, big time!... To bad cause it had potential and the sound is great. Support is not absent, but minimal Indeed... 73
Great video, interested to see the link between GSM and analgoue at work that's a nice feature for hams, that's a great mic as well, still amuses me how 1 person can dislike a well presented totally free video on a nice product like this that nobody has forced them to watch, keep up the good work there young Lewis, don't hoover up all the views by making such great content in the future though, leave some for me lol.
It would make sense for GMRS radio producers to make a few radios with the Zello addition because their are already plenty of GMRS guys linking into Zello. Raspberry pi and node stuff that I'm learning.
It's funny to see Zello get to where it has.. I used to be friends with Alexey Gavrilov, the original creator of loudtalks which became Zello. Still got my legacy license for loudtalks lol
Big Zello user. Been checking this out for almost a year. Not Android (so not interested, will keep my W2's and separate dual-band rigs) but a few months ago, I heard someone in the US using a 9900 on Zello using some kind of an Android emulator for Linux. Too much trouble for me to deal with since I'm not that tech-savvy. Need Android version, then I'll consider...
I've been looking for part 2 of this for the network side, but I can't find it! I have 2 quick questions: 1. Does this have WiFi built in? If not, then... 2. Does the USB-C port communicate with the Linux operating system? In other words, If I plug a WiFi USB adapter into it, will it work?
I guess that you can program the name of repeater on channel, I only ask as you did show it and also didn't see a menu function for it. Looks great to me and seems to be a great option for mobile in a car with the head hidden away. Is there any microphone extension you can get?
I ran into a guy using one of these to get into a GMRS IP-linked repeater system a while back. His audio would cut out about once a minute and then come back in after five to ten seconds seconds, so what I heard was delayed by a bit from his transmissions. I don't know if that was an issue with the radio, the LTE network, or the interface with the repeater system - I've never encountered that particular phenomenon with ROIP before. The LTE network in the US often isn't quite there yet in rural areas and likely never will be because of topography.
Seen some pictures online from the insides of the tm7700-d what looks to be the same radio, interestingly there is a usb port so maybe that can be used to install qtel or other linux based radio software, otherwise I hope there are free servers you can run yourself or others have running that you can connect to using the realptt app
00:15 Look at Font used on Microphone Buttons. Look at Font used on display. Someone tell them the font they use on the display is ugly as is the layout. They just don't understand. It isn't Chinese so it doesn't bother them I guess.
I was thinking about this radio just a moment ago, and I imagined a furry character using a very similar radio at his home in the United States or Canada to listen to both his local NOAA/Environment Canada weather radio station (VHF) and his local low-power (until July 13, 2021) or full power (until June 12, 2009) TV station on channel 14 (UHF). This idea comes from you mentioning the frequency ranges this radio supports: 136-174 MHz for VHF and 400-480 MHz for UHF. This would mean that the displayed frequencies for the weather radio station would be 162.400, 162.425, 162.450, 162.475, 162.500, 162.525, or 162.550 MHz, and 475.750 MHz for the TV station on channel 14. I should also mention that were he to live in Japan, American channel 14 on TV lines up with Japanese channel 13.
Hi, I recently bought m-9900 but it does not recognize the sim and the msg "no uim card" appears. I ask you instructions how to start the m-9900. Thank you
Well they are close, now if we can get this same unit in an android version so we can have zello then it could be used I hope as a go between those coming into a specific Zello channel set up for MURS use and out to local MURS RF radios in the area.
Can this be programmed / opened up for TX'ing marine VHF frequencies, like many of the chinese import radios? I noticed 155.555 on the VFO there... Can it hit 156.800Mhz ?
Hi, I subscribed to your channel, I recently bought an anysecu m-9900 which I regularly programmed in vhf/uhf but I can't get it to work as a phone, I have an iliad sim. Can you give me info on the phone setup. Thanks Mimmo IT9SKY
Very much awaiting part 2! You are the only source on this radio so far. So thanks!...👍🏻
Unfortunately it wasn’t great and the support wasn’t there so I had to end the series

Worth the wait. Can’t wait for part 2.
Here is what Midland needs to have converted to GMRS with 50 watt xmit. I love that mic!
Yeah it's nice isn't it!

Make it work with Zello and you get the whole European market. But don't wait to long please.
the problem is ZELLO do not support LINUX system.
That’s my new favorite speaker mic
Lovely little radio, I only wish they would do a similar size zello radio, they would take the market over.
so pity recently zello can only work on android
What app does it use to talk via 4g
Why dont zello? Fucking real PTT is not for the european market.

Love the mic, shame it doesn't do Zello. Great video, keep safe from M7LLA...73
Any follow up on this ? Interested in the network radio performance. I suspect of it ran Android and DMR they couldn't sell enough of them !
Any plans for producing another video covering this radio?
Is part two of this video out yet want to know more about it? Also anything close to this yet for Android using the Zello app
Simple but popular question. When's the Android/Zello version coming out? I'd have bought that tomorrow without hesitation.

Great Video as always Lewis, looks a nice piece of kit 2E0UHV
Only just found this unit and I’m considering getting one.
The ads seem to suggest some kind of APRS Support. Do you have any information on that?
When is part two coming out I’m looking at buying some of these for my business and really want to know if they’re worth while
Did you ever make a Part 2 of this presentation ?

So with the wide UHF spread this could be used on GMRS with no problem at all?
Liking this radio a lot...Thanks for posting..Ian. G0YAP
How distance talking range?
Hi, Where is the video on the POC function?
So what POC networks can it work with? I'm on a tyt based POC network over 4g / wifi?

Can it use wifi instead of USim card?
Is it possible to install some apps on it? APRS, Echolink etc?

@@DavidRDXDelnose I also have one here in Dublin I use it to connect Realptt my uhf repeater
Can this radio function as a repeater through its 4g connection?
If only it would work as a cross-band repeater from say, UHF to Zello - AND BACK. I'd buy 10 of them .
I have one I use it to to connect Realptt to my uhf repeater in dublin

I like how American boomer hams do not acknowledge radios like this as ham radios because "They are not real radios". It's quite entertaining.
ElfNet Designs: As an American ham ( W2JEL ) I think it it’s a real radio , I am even thinking about getting one.
