10:18 note is incorrect. Passed players _do_ get the essence. Explicitly mentioned on page 8 of the rulebook: "Some effects direct your rivals to gain essences from the supply.
Rivals who have passed do gain these essences."

You are absolutely right. Got confused by the "all rivals lose" powers that do not apply to players that have passed.
I have cut the whole sentence from the video so I don't mislead people and I will also add a klingon subtitle that "all rivals gain" powers also count for players that passed. Thanks a lot my friend

Happy to hear that. Make sure to use Klingon subs always.

destroy = remove from the board. discard = from hand. it says on on each players reference cards. cards never removed from the game

Hello Yegor. Thanks for your comment. However, what is the destination of the destroyed card? The player's discard pile?

      @@peakyboardgamer Yes, the discard pile
Page 7 of the Rulebook wrote:
Some powers involve discarding or destroying your artifacts. Discarding is from hand, whereas destroy is to discard from play. Put the card in your discard pile (tucked sideways under your deck).
      The glossary wrote:
Destroy: to discard an artifact from play, not from hand. Destroyed artifacts are placed in your discard pile.
