You are spot on with my situation. I had previously posted about my son in an accident. I’ve been in a town 2.5 hrs from my home for the past month staying at my sons home. Waiting for him to be discharged from Acute Rehab. He feels strongly for me to care for him at his place, but I feel strongly that he should be willing to come to my home for rehab where I can comfortably care for him in the comfort of my home. We finally reached a compromise, after much frustration, hurt feelings, open discussion and awkwardness. He has a strong personality and strong opinions and I have made sure I have held my ground about what is necessary for me. I’m hoping we can continue to grow and move forward through this with realistic expectations that result from solid and practical compromise. I’ve been so sad over this entire thing. I’m glad to hear things are about to turn a corner for the better.

Yes yes yes. A client felt they were in control of me and my time. I saw that I'd allowed it! I pulled back. Client said I seemed different after taking back my power and their control was slipping away. But I was kind and firm. Then a new client came to me. The same dialogue came from this new client that I had just pulled back from the old client. I saw it immediately! What I saw clearly is my value and worth, my hourly rate. I have gratitude for the first client who taught me a great lesson.
