Thanks! Great video. The original radio is an incredible find. I like that you are taking the car back to all original. I'm doing the same with a 50s Daimler, replacing modern updates with back-to-original parts. I still regret that my parents threw out a perfectly good original radio for the car in the 1970s.
Very good work Greg. I was interested because I had a Radiomobile in my 1950 Bristol in the late '60s. It also had the height of luxury, for then, as it had an external speaker attached to the roof. It was round like a small biscuit tin between the driver and passenger heads. "Memories!! It had that warm mellow sound that your radio puts out. I didnt use it much as it did chew through the battery voltage & I couldnt afford a large high class/output battery then. My friends all had old MGs with no radios, so mine was a curiosity & everyone played with the pushbuttons which was irritating..
Hi Greg, that was fascinating. How clever of you to find an original radio, and for creating those mounting brackets ! I must say, your new dash board looks fantastic - well done. I love your videos - you must be so proud of your Rover, and I'm looking forward to whatever you show us regarding it. Thanks and take care 🙂
Only problem I can see with installing such a beautiful period radio is that it doesn't pick up period radio stations - try Radio 3 perhaps - or is that only FM or even DAB these days.
Hi Greg, My name is Ryan. Love your car. Really apreciate the detail in your videos. I am an amature radio operator so radios are of particular interest to me. I recently purchased a 1947 Rover 14 P2 Sports. I live in Washington state USA. I imported my car from British Columbia Canada last week. Im quickly finding out that information is hard to come by on these cars and since they werent imported to north America there just arent many of them around. Im hoping to find some sources for spair parts. My car is missing a few bits. Any information you can share is apreciated. Cheers!
I think you have done a fantastic job on the restoration. Great to see on original valve radio in the car. I hope you aren't working too hard in the job. All the best from the fleurieu peninsula

Thanks Bernie. I am working too hard in my job but not for much longer. Good to hear from you.
I can report that retirement agrees with me 😊
