I like your video. Close up, so I can see what’s happening. I just got a small piece to work on, but it’s been so long I’ve forgotten everything! Your video makes me feel like I’m ready to dive in and get to work. I’m craving the “sewing” motion. So relaxing!! Thank you!
Why do you carry the thread on the diagonal? I have always heard that you need to carry the thread vertically or horizontally to avoid a bump/shadow on the front. Can you explain your advice to start and stop threads on the diagonal?
The music is lovely, however it is very loud in relation to the voice giving instructions. It can be quite difficult for people to focus to filter out the music and concentrate on the instructions at the best of times, but for anyone like me with an illness that reduces concentration it is actually impossible to follow :(
I finally understand what is meant about going up over the weft and down over the warp. I've read this in books but I guess I needed to see someone actually doing the stitches in order to grasp this technique. I agree with other viewers about the music - it is nice, but much too loud. It would be easier to hear the instructions if the music could be lowered or maybe even removed altogether.
Thank you so much for explaining it like this. I xstitch, so the whole long lengths on the back and the back and forth for needlepoint has been really confusing. Now I understand better why needlepoint is formed this way.
I'm sorry to say this but, the music is too loud and very distracting. I have severe Tinitus and can barely hear you! I really don't understand why people feel the need to put music on instruction videos. So as much as I would like to watch this video I can't. Sorry. :(
Of all the introductory videos on needlepoint I have seen, this is the one that actually inspires me. Thank you so much.
I think the music in the background is lovely and comforting.
Thank you so much for this video. I now realize I've been doing this incorrectly. This woman's antique thimble was beautiful! This helped quite a lot!
Best instructions I’ve found. Thank you
I love the music - very relaxing - you are an excellent teacher!
Thank you very much....A little suggestion - you are more effective to this viewer without the music.......

Good information but agree with many viewers about the distracting music. It really bothered me too.
