Pt. Jasraj was one of the great vocal artist we lost few years back. In the last few years we have lost so many great artists like Dr. Balamuralikrishna, Bhimsen Joshi, Lata Mangeshkar and very recently Ustad Rashid Khan to name a few!!

I witnessed this LIVE when he was invited to my University in the usa and IT ACTUALLY RAINED! Mind you, there was no cloud in the sky that morning. All people were just awestruck. I fell to his feet. He was absolutely warm and kind when I interacted thereafter. RIP Bapuji

Class apart. Once someone had narrated an incident - It was his House warming function; there was scorching heat; Pt. Jasraj had also been invited; he was requested to singh Megh Malhar. After he started singing, shortly thereafter clouds gathered and it started raining. Masteros are Masteros. In all probabily this incident was narrated by Mr. N. K. Singh.
