this is an amazing video, every video tells you to use dynamics and expression but this is the first time ive ever seen it really explained with examples and everything

Great and very useful video. :) I adapted these techniques and they made my synthestrations much more realistich in terms of dynamics.
If anyone is lookin' for a dope a** AFFORDABLE midi controller for cc midi controls, the Novation 25SL MKII is a solid choice. The Novation SL Zero is also dope too. These controllers sell on eBay for a bargain. I've seen them sell from £60'ish to just over £100+. I own the 25SL MKII, not only can I use the 8 faders of cc, but, I can trigger key switches with the 25 keys! This means that you won't have to shift your 88 key controller down a few octaves to trigger key switches in certain libraries like the ones made by spitfire etc etc. Lastly, when I tried using my SL, there was a learning curve with the annoying, janky, discontinued, unintuitive software I thought one needed to map the controller. But! I found out that these controllers allow you to map, every, single, knob, pad, fader, from the controller itself! When you're done, you save the template directly on the hardware! Absolutely no need for the rubbish software, at all! These controllers have some sort of memory chip that it saves the mapped config to. I've mapped my SL to control cc1, cc11 etc, and most of the other buttons/knobs/faders to my daw (Studio One 5.5 for what it's worth). Another thing that might be worth mentioning, is the fact that these controllers come with 8 endless encoders! Which is useful for assigning to certain parameters in VST plugins, or, your daw in general. By the SL Zero if you don't need extra keys, buy the 25SL MKII if you need the extra keys to trigger key switches. Let me know your experience with the controller if you've got one, or if you need any help, ask away!
9:35 Very good trick. But say if this was for a feature, would orchestrators really be able to catch that and know your intentions in those spots if you sent them just the MIDI files? Would you normally add some sort of comment for those spots telling them that the note repeats?
Question: At @3:16 you were creating a vibrato type effect by oscillating your finger. But the Keyboard does not look like any kind of MPE controller. How are you doing this?
Back in April you released a video with Behringer BCF2000. Please show us how to set it up for this. I can't find instructions anywhere except using it to control audio mix. Please show this so that I can set mine up, and order your course. I don't want to be learning without the tools already in possession but not set up
Buenas Mark: Yo tengo cubase 10.5, las curvas que salen, de expresión y modulacion, son demasiado gruesas, no son finas, y no puedo hacer las cosas que dices en el video... hay alguna solucion?
I use the Korg Nanokontrol 2. The faders are shorter but it gets the job done. It can also fit nicely on top of a midi keyboard controller if you have limited space
Very nice video! Very helpful! How do you make your double bass shorts sound so round and full of tone. I've tried Nucleus, 8dio Anthology and Ostinato and they all make too much additional noise that is difficult to EQ. Do you use an additional low synth?
First... use a library that already sounds round, and full, and low! really low! (there are libraries that the DB don't have the depth and body... I like CSS, Cinesamples, Spitfire for DB staccatos. Then, if I want more attack and aggression, I can set the sample starting time to start later in the sample. That way I get more attack. It sounds un-natural and non realistic... but it helps adding aggression to the low strings. :)
This channel is a goldmine, and I'll be digging it all !! Thanks a lot for all those educating videos !!
Probably one of the best videos out there. I’ve been looking for this for days. Thanks a lot.
Very helpful - thank you!

Muchas gracias, crack!!! Qué bien tener una explicación así. Muy agradecido. Enhorabuena
Gracias por los valiosos aportes es lo que he venido buscando desde hace algún tiempo atrás, lástima que el idioma sea una barrera.

We need more same videos.
Awesome! Many thanks!

Damn, you are very good and explain it perfectly. Hope to see more content about dynamic :-)
Amazing info! Thank you!
Awesome as usual 👍🏽
Is it the same idea for Brass?
Thank you, subscribed!
After recording the melody... How did you get Cubase to add a recording of the dynamics within @3:30?
You prefer recording dynamics inside the MIDI lines data directly VS as an Automation of Cubase ? Is there a reason ?
I use cubase 12pro with east west symphonic orchestra. Is uc33 compatible? Thank you
Does anyone know a fader control with a very affordable price?
you can use something like Lemur which lets you use your Android or Ios device as a fader controller via wifi
I use the Korg Nanokontrol 2. The faders are shorter but it gets the job done. It can also fit nicely on top of a midi keyboard controller if you have limited space
Where do I buy the keyboard?
How to use articulations?

Horrible melody 😂 but the rest of the video was good and clear
Thank you!
Thank you!
