In this clip, Insane Clown Posse detail the start of their quest into music. They pointed to 1989 as the start when they began making "basement tapes" which garnered them a buzz around the city. Prior to devoting their time and talents to hip-hop, ICP initially saw themselves becoming wrestlers but felt the music route was more of a calling.
They also described the Detroit hip-hop scenes which included the more underground battle rap scene contrasted by the more studio driven, indie enterprise scene - similar to indie hip-hop artists in the South. And told of how Kid Rock used to be a legitimate MCee before going mainstream.
