that last guided journal/agenda would work great for your style of planning! With baby at home, it will make life easier by providing structure and freedom to decorate as you wish. Can't wait to see what you chose!

I literally feel like I’ve tried every size happy planner in multiple layouts and I keep coming back to a mini dashboard being enough for me. Enough for my plans and enough for my desire to decorate. I’m excited to get my minis and combine them to be what I want.
I love that - knowing what you like and what is functional for you, beyond a shadow of a doubt! Makes things so much easier this time of year!

I use the hourly only when we have a lot of appointments in one week. This helps me to see where I have time for all the things. Frankin planning is awesome.

I also work at a large university and I learned very quickly that it was a backpack campus and not a cute bag campus! The commute from my car to office is a smooth 10 mins. Lol. I am also hybrid and the light came on when you talked about using a smaller mobile planner! GENIUS!
Yay!! Higher Ed folks unite! Yeah try the half letter size and see if it’s enough room for you! I discovered I liked that size when I tried the small HP Organized planner that you can find at Walmart! It’s an inexpensive way to try the half letter size without spending a ton on discbound inserts!

Wow, this is impressive , Elizabeth..I did watch the full length. You gave me company, while I was baking some cookies for a Boy Scouts event . First of all, hats off to you Super Mama for the fun things you have planned for 2023. Your process did get me thinking on what else I want to include in my life for the coming year. I think you should have the Green Velvet bullet journal for special milestones for Ester. Also, you could include funny conversations kids have as they start talking , those will be really precious to look back at , in future. Can't wait to see the rest of the videos in the playlist.
First and most importantly - what kind of cookies haha!! That green velvet journal just HAS to be special for Esther, but I'm so scared of messing up and ruining it haha!! And interestingly enough, I have a mini HP that JoJo sent me, for logging all the things she says!
Up front I love watching your videos. Just want to show a different view on your planning 2023 needs as an option. Please keep up your awesome work.
How I would have grouped everything. Keeping in mind the different meanings for Planner and Journals, yes, those are not synonymous to each other.
work = planner
Home to dos = planner and only one which means to go
Health and fitness, self-care = journal
Social media = Planner
Goals = journal, because that way the main focus is the context and not the timeline which would happen when you plan them on doing in your planners the one for home and the one for work
Memories = journal
Your Journal points as well journal.
Finances = journal as well as digital keeps you from having to sum it up and making mistakes. I use excel and only keep monthly results in a journal for comparison reason.

Thank you for sharing! Yes functionally journals and planners are different, though I do mostly using “planners” for journaling!
I love this exercise. I am often frustrated over not having my planners where I need them and having to go get what I need. Most often I just end up jotting things down on scraps of paper. So simple but so practical. Doing this for sure.
Glad it was helpful! Thinking about where I put my planners has been so clutch for deciding which ones are stand-alones and which ones are frankenplanned!

Very helpful! I love the idea of a fitness Bujo!! That traveler size would be perfect and not too overwhelming to decorate.
Yay! Glad it was helpful! Agreed on the traveler's....I'm having a hard time deciding between the two bujos for it - love the preprinted element of the bujo agenda, but love the size of the traveler's!
Helpful for sure - as a working/homeschool mama of 4 - let me warn you about expectations. Give yourself grace. Ditch what doesn't work.
Side note: That travelers notebook might work well for self care, faith, and fitness. Excited to see what makes the cut.

I totally do this! I make notes throughout the last quarter on the note page in the back of my catchall planner! I also write notes to myself of things to do/not do next year.
The only concern I have with work + life is if you need to go to expanders, it won’t accommodate them.
Yes, definitely something to be mindful of with Work+Life! I'd probably just keep that in mind as I memory keep...I don't plan to do a daily/weekly in the memory keeper, so should be alright....?!
Girl!!!! My head is spinning. I’m really struggling with what I WANT to do and what is really realistic! Currently struggling just to decorate and write in my 2 planners each week!!! Really hoping want to add faith and fitness to my lineup but what layout and size is still undecided. I can’t wait to see what you finally decide on and how you use them each week!!!!
I hear ya Kathy! This is all I WANT to do, but who knows if January will smack me in the face and tell me I over-committed haha!
And hands down - horizontal for fitness. But I may be biased!
Buy the dashboard planner you like, Frankenplan it, and then sell the “new” planner. 🤷🏽♀️😆 I would.
Haha! I've had people ask me to make assembled planners for them in the past and I've always said no! But maybe in the future...it's not a terrible idea!
This has been so helpful to see. I tend to get overwhelmed each year trying to figure out what planner layout will work for me and so I base it on a cover instead of what layout would be helpful. This video helps so much!
Yay! Glad it was helpful, Kalynda! It's always tempting to pick based on covers and dividers, but definitely focus on those guts! Covers adn dividers can always be changed!
I love when you explain your process and brainstorm. It’s so helpful and I get so many ideas. I’m having a difficult time when it comes to my wellness planner because I don’t like the new changes to the dashboard. So I’m going to attempt to use the monthly layout 😬 it’s very different and I think creatively it will be fun to try something new.

Omg! When I saw you pull out that work/life HP for your memory keeping I was like - SHE IS MY SPIRIT ANIMAL!!!! Only because crazy enough, earlier this week I did my brain dump planner setup strategy whatever you wanna call it (lol) just like you did here & for my memory keeping/journaling I am using the pinkish color work/life classic HP planner!!! Also I just wanted to say that i love this video of yours and look forward to seeing all your 2023 playlist
Yayyy!! TWINSIES! I think it’s an excellent idea and I hope people consider it when they’re wondering what to do with the lux cover that has time constraints on it! Are you using a classic or big?
@ejjoyfulplans i am using it in classic size. I have used classic size for memory planning since 2020, and it had worked out well for me. In the month calendar section i usually write in one memory from each fay or add a small picture if some things awesome happened. Then i like using the horizontal guts so that i can journal about my day. And i also add pictures to the bottom right of the horizontal week since its not specific to any day.
Loved this video. I'm trying frankenplanning this year instead of having separate planners. This video gave me good ideas and options. Would love to see how you set up your catchall frankenplanned one.
Thanks Bonnie! Frankenplanning is awesome to pair things down, so long as it’s done with geography in mind (where you typically use each planner)! I will definitely film the set up!

Your brain dump looks like mine, lol. I thought I had everything figured out, but then I wanted to try something new. So now I'm lost again, lol. The only thing for sure is my faith planner. Hopefully we'll figure all this stuff out within the next few weeks. 😄

@EJjoyful Plans I'm feeling pretty good about it. I added my half letter back in with C&P inserts for work. And for the first time I'm using a Big Dashboard for home and budget. Everything else (classic vertical for creative and horizontal for faith journaling) I'm frankenplanning 😊. Oh and Mini horizontal for EDC.

@@thejoyfulsojourn lol I'm STILL finalizing! I figured out how to use the planners i currently have (because they're dated and i hate wasting money); i guess now I'm working on the "next" system. Just this morning i figured out i hate flipping back and forth between sections (like between the monthly and weekly layouts in undateds...or between the weekly and daily layouts in the Common Planner), so...something else to take into account😄
@@thejoyfulsojourn …so of course I’ve bought 2 planners since my last comment!🤣 A $5 2-year monthly from See It Bigger, and a Freestyle Planning Journal from Markings by…C.R. Gibson. The first one will be a catch-all (appointments, events, etc); the second will be a…most similar to a project planner / running to-do list (just the way my brain works). All my other planners are actually being used as trackers😊
Love this! Although im trying to limit my planners and journals to what i can actually keep up with. So i will encorporate some filler paper when i need extra pages for now in catchall.... next to 1 budget planner and one journal.
