My 2019 Chevy Colorado wt doesn’t come with a rear and mirror defrost button so is there any way I can get the heated mirrors to work if I install these mirrors? Possibly with the front windshield defogger??
Can you order style 2 without the lights ? I don't really need the signal on them and it just seems like a lot of extra finicky work that I'd rather avoid😅
You can definitely order them and just plug in the OEM connector and retain your defrost and power mirror adjustment controls. That’s how I have been using mine the past couple days as I ran out of time to wire in the accessory lights
I have 16 Canyon 4x4 SL has the convenience group but no power mirrors. Do you know if power mirrors could be added? These LED headlights are killing me at night.
Hey Tom, At this point we don't have an upgrade path outlined to add power adjust to trucks not originally equipped. We are working on a retrofit kit, that would need a switch moutned somewhere. In the meantime, you could wire up all of the lighting features on our mirrors.
Anyone who comes out with a conversion kit for canyon/colorado will make a lot of money. They have sold loads of the base canyons without power mirrors and are still doing it. Convenience group includes remote start but still manual mirrors? Ridiculous.
Attention Boost Auto: One suggestion for improvement on the wiring - install braided sleeve over the the long wire harnesses that get routed into the cab. It’s probably worth a mention that on my 2017 Colorado Duramax, the cargo lamp is allowed to illuminate when I shift into reverse. It doesn’t illuminate in a forward travel gear.
Does this void any electrical warranty? I have heard GM not honoring warranties with aftermarket electrical components installed tapping into factory wires.
Depending on the area of warranty you're referencing it may be voided (i.e. the mirror warranty is certainly voided). The taps that we use have fuses inside of them to protect the BCM, but at the end of the day it is up to GM whether they will honor the warranty or not. If you are concerned about this we recommend reaching out to them directly.
I really like the mirrors but you really need to explain re-installing the door panels. I had to go to the Clear View Mirrors install video to see how to do it correctly

Also you didn't mention that you should disconnect the battery when doing any electrical work on the truck. Unplugging the body controller with the battery connected could cause a check engine light to come on. I've seen it happen.

You will gain the feature with our mirrors if your vehicle originally had rear window defrost.

Unfortunately not - in order for the mirror defrost to work your truck has to have the rear window defrost.

Unfortunately not - but if you're not looking for lights style 1 would be a great option!

My back up lights with cargo only work when the key is on and trucks off once the truck is on only the back up lights work

Yes, the upper glass has power adjust and the lower glass is manual.

That is correct, the cargo light may only be manually commanded on in Park, Neutral, or Reverse.
