Welcome To Survival-Russia. One of the very best Outdoors and Survival related communities on RUclips, and yes, It's a pretty good Channel too.
My name is Lars. I'm From Denmark but I live in Rural Russia now. I live at a Homestead in wild nature surrounded by a huge forest.
On The Survival-Russia channel we do all things related to the Outdoors Lifestyle. I share my thoughts and experiences on Survival Techniques for the woodlands of the Northern Hemisphere. the Reality of Survival. I share Techniques and ways of the Siberian Tribesmen and the Russian Longhunters of the older days. Things not shown outside of Russia very much.
On this Channel we also do Off-Road driving, Vehicle builds, Metal Detecting, all things Outdoors basically. Enjoy!
If You Are Awesome And Are Considering Supporting The Channel And Project, Then Check The Links In The Description Above For Merchandise And Other Options. Thank You Very Much!
Hi :) Love your videos! Where are you originally from? Your accent kind of sound a little bit danish. Really funny hearing you saying fjellduken in Norwegian xp
@@mrme9437 Dane Lars is a viking
Lars awesome video as usual, now you know that if'n ya keep knocking on them trees. The Almas will come see who's knocking in their house. If they like their cousins over here they will not be happy about it.
A log fire on both sides would've have helped you last time!
And thank you for saying not to chop down n maybe kill trees for overnight stuff! I use tall grasses bundle under my poncho myself

Woooooo! Who else likes the 40 minutes format? 🙋♂️
Fo-sho I like the longer videos also as long as it's Lars, love me some survival Russia, and I like the blah blah blah
Da! Brumsh! Dagowitcz! Dra! Ga! Baaaa!
Right here. He needs a crossover with les stroud lol
Rick Flair’ WOOooo!!
-17°: Lars, wearing only 2 longsleeves: "When it gets cold, I will put on a sweater."
Well, I was close to the camp fire :)
long sleeve WOOL and long sleeve POLY is not like long sleeve cotton tshirt. He is not crazy.🙂
Once one has been accustomed to the cold, only a little good insulation is required. Standard practice remains essential. A heat source improves everything. 🇷🇸☯️
@@SurvivalRussia I know :) What you said in the video was pretty situational. But I am impressed that you don't seem to need to cover your ears as much when you move around. They don't seem to be too sensitive to the cold. When it's 0° outside and a little windy and I am not wearing a beanie, my ears quickly begin to hurt. Love your videos. Thanks for the effort to test out so much extreme stuff.
We have around 22°C now at my workplace and some coworkers wearing sweaters, because it's too cold LOL
"Bring a goddamn sleeping mat" - pure brilliance!
My wife even chuckled.
Ive thought the same thing very often lmao
lars bonks the tree lightly and the tree declared an avalanche lol
It would not have been great if that came out of nowhere :)
THAT was AWESOME...
“Nothing warm ever came out of the North East.” For some reason that had me chuckling.
If you have been married for 40 years, social distancing comes quite easy.......
You should be happy to live long enough to be married for 40 years. I like this channel and will probably never have to sleep in the backyard and there is nothing to burn except for my fruit trees. I bought survival equipment for an emergency and should buy a gasoline generator in case of an earthquake.
@@dogetothemoon223 I will be married 40 years to the same person and how time flies. I remember going to my grandparents' 50th year anniversary and thought they were ancient. I knew that both grandfathers fought in the Russo-Japanese War 1904-1905 and my father fought against the Germans in WWII. He almost lost both legs to cold weather in the 1944 winter in France. The US Army did not have good cold weather equipment and some soldiers froze to death because you could not lite a fire in the battlefield.
@@dogetothemoon223 I should have said that my grandparents emigrated from Japan.
Covid is a huge scam. The measures are against human rights, worse than any virus and based on lies.

I love when you upload Lars, it means you survived.😂
#NoVegansInSiberia.
I thought similar thing whilst watching: isn't his wife afraid her husband might not return?
@Blæck Løtus vegans suffer many deficiencies
@Blæck Løtus i think our canine teeth, which herbivores generally lack, disproves your theory
@Blæck Løtus plants are living too you fool.
*Conscious*. I wonder why people generally do not like vegans!?!? Man, you gotta relax.
I'm locked down in the U.K. Literally finding freedom in videos like yours at the minute. Thank you for helping to keep me sane!

Hang in there life gets better.
The irony of Lars watching his camp TV while we watch the poisonous, soul-destroying media! No-one was ever inspired to search their soul looking at a digital device, but a campfire can warm the spirit
@Pal Hein-Reim Sometimes you just got to disconnect from everything and go enjoy nature which I don't see any better way to spend time then staring at the camp TV and in Mother Nature's company, and the words of Lars "that's for dang sure". I hope all is good and well with you stay safe and stay blessed
Here for the pure awesomeness of the survival Russia
Knocking on trees and big hairy feet !!! I think Lars is slowly turning into a Sasquatch :)
Lol brilliant 😂😂😂
..Do they have Sasquatch in Russia?..I know they have Yeti in the Himalayas, which is basically a Sasquatch adapted for living in the snow.. :)
dude your boots look like some one skinned chewbacca
Made me lol
It is a skinned chewbaka..they farm them there just for the boots...and they are awsome!!
Mine are Sasquatch fur.
As a wool artist ,spin and weave, appreciate you teaching people about wool. Got my Silky! Awesome.
Love wool but it is getting hard to get.
After taking up welding, I learned that only 'natural' fibers are safe around sparks. Cotton, leather, AND wool. Since then, I started using wool, not for welding, but for every day practical use. I know it will be safe around a camp fire, and that is just for starters. I am a new, wool wearing, convert!

@@jant4741 Good looking out, Thanks!
I wonder how many that watch this think: This is not a survival situation. I have watched many other survival channels and I know that if you aren't chopping down full size trees to build a wikiup. And you are not batoning two cords of firewood with a full tang survivor knife (that weighs at least two pounds and have a firesteel on its kydex sheath) , it's just winter camping! Lars you are the real McCoy, and that's for dang sure.
it could become a survival situation in an instant.
man when I go outside to take the garbage bins out that's a survival situation this on a completely different level
Uh huh, I always pack all that gear hunting up north 🤣😅🔟
My thoughts exactly! Goint to the woods with a 1% chance of getting stranded and bringing only an altoid can is stupidity. Taking a sled full of gear is survival.
@@taunokekkonen5733 You Europeans are missing the point. We did not make our way across this NA Continent packing an expedition sled and all that crap. It was what you could comfortably carry on your back. If you get all sweated out hauling tons of gear you will freeze. Even today, if you hunt in the middle of Alaska your max loadout is 50lbs plus a rifle. Your max total is 230lbs body weight and gear. It's called economy of energy and smart planning. Everything else is CAMPING, not survival.
Guy from Denmark surviving winter night somewhere in Rural Russian using Dutch sleepingbag, German sleeping pad, Finnish sleeping pad and Fjellduken from Norway, Awesomeness!
Just as i was thinking "Whatssup with Lars?" this vid popped up! Just love it!
This is how a bachler see's married life, dang the couch, I'll deal with bears and wolves!
HI ALL....Just to let you know that here in Winnipeg Manitoba Canada we are getting to 45 below tonight with windchill. Will keep my fire going tonight...the difference is it is in my wood burner in the house.
All the way from South Africa, this is a great channel!
Thank you SA :)
As always, excellent practical advice. And just the right amount of blah-blah-blah. Thanks!
Lol
I would love full native clothing, you should definitely go that way with your kit choices. The natives are always right haha
I truly appreciate your respect for the trees and other flora in the forest. A true woodsman ✌🤟

Very good learning experience in a real environment, well done.
Awesome Lars 👌 love the boots, looking forward to seeing the review 😀 nice job keeping the fire stoked and making it through the night 👍
Thanks 👍
Happy to see a Survival Russia video pop up, was in here within 12 secs 😂
Another awesome video and no funky stuff added for a thumb nail.
Awesome! Thank you!
As always just injoy your videos Awesome, thank you
Thank you for a very informative and entertaining video .
Wool wicks the sweat off your body and polyester absorbs the moisture, that is why you dried quickly from sweat. When I would camp in Rocky Mountain winter I learned to keep the feet dry with multiple wool and cotton sox to keep feet warm and dry wool knit hat. I would sleep in just undies and sox and wool hat. wrap up in wool blanket inside my sleeping bag. Dry feet and warm head.
Greetings from squishy Nashville, TN, where's it's almost +60F and pouring rain today.
Ahhh, rain. Here in Tucson it rained once this past year. Now its been raining for going on four days. It's McDonald's!
I'm watching this on a 40deg day in Australia to keep cool.
Superb Content! Thanks, Best regards from Poland :)
These boots look excellent. The best part is that they remind me of the boots the gogo dancers were wearing in 1967....
Gotta love the cold weather, -21c in slave lake Alberta Canada -32c with wind chill and dryer then a popcorn fart at 18% humidity.
Then a popcorn fart 🤣?
Thank you Lars for taking us on this fantastic adventure!
Your awesome, Lars. Thanks for sharing.
Had a camp out the other week in spite of our stupid 'lock-down', felt liberating, though admittedly it was not nearly as cold as you're dealing with!
Watching this I'm itching to get out again, thank you for your continued inspiration Lars!
Are you not allowed to go camping?? That should be a great way to practice social distancing.
You all live in a very cold area and the items you are wearing is needed to stay warm and that is great that you have the many layers of clothing to keep you safe in the cold weather. I like the stakes you have to heat your water with and that is a wonderful setup. You should have gotten a good nights sleep with the gear you brought with you and stayed warm.
Way to go Lars! Another great and informative video.
I love these videos, really enjoyed this one.
3,362 other views in the time it took me to watch this, hehe. Another great video, thanks
Thanks for watching!
Damnit, I want those boots. But living here in Tucson Arizona I don't have any need for warm boots!
Love your videos. Great content
Thank you for such great informative videos Lars! I love your channel and those boots do look incredible! Thank you & see you on the next outdoor adventure! Cheers
Mother Russia is fully awesome. I would like do a survival challenge with you when we can all travel again. Scotland doesn't get anywhere near this cold!

Great one again! Thx

Hi Lars - Have you ever considered setting up a photo trap by your camp? So you can record the amount of different animals coming by.
4 moose, 2 wolves , three lost bears and 70 billion mosquitos
Super Awesome, Lars!
Great video, love the way you explain everything on the go with why and how and going into just enough detail to explain your actions
How did you learn English. Its very good. One day I would like to visit Russia.
I'd quite like to see a video about when you moved to the homestead if you have time. What you wish you knew beforehand, what you did and learned etc.
Looks like a good life.
Great video mate, thank you
Great video!
when I first saw the boots I thought you were a refugee from the 1970,s hippy commune.
I have found that if you are sleeping in your clothes then a zipped up sleeping bag is a bit of a waste especially if you are not a small person because the bag looses its loft. So you need to take some clothes off or use your bag like a quilt as you have done.
I watch a video on the conquering of mount Everest and was interested to see at the very highest camp they slept in their clothes and used a ground pad and their sleeping bags as a quilt. Obviously no fire or heating of any kind. The actually managed to get some sleep although the attempt nearly come undone because hiliary took his boots off to sleep and they froze solid.
Down to a certain temperature its foolish to sleep in your clothes but after that you are foolish not to.
That sounds very interesting :)
They have the issue that the thin oxygen means your blood carries less heat I believe. So you have less internal fire and heating. Scary stuff up so high.
In America "Moose Tracks" is also a kind of ice cream.
Amazing keep up the great work
AHHH! back to basics ...gd vid thx
Another great presentation. God bless Russians and all peoples who live a rural lifestyle.
I need a canned moose video in my life.
Thanks Lars, really enjoyed that video, the content and the length of it. Keep doing what you are doing!
Allways awesome content!
