DUDE! This is what I've been waiting for. Thanks so much. There isn't a lot of info on the Stoke out there and seems folks on Reddit aren't even showing this board off. If you're open to taking suggestions, please do a video on maybe tips on riding inside a big city like London. I live in NY and shit is SCARY when I think about boarding in the main city.
Such a detailed video and I love it! I've watching your content since last xmas when I returned my Boosted Rev. The content encouraged me as I thought I was too old (29) to be riding a e-skateboard. It was just inspiring seeing a British black man like yourself so passionate about the community. It made it easy to visualise myself doing this too. I even went to Wick boards and met Owen because of you. I pulled the trigger and I bought a Boosted Stealth in February and literally 2 days after I received it they went bust. I absolutely love the thing and I am yet to go anywhere without my board. Going from zero experience witht ANY skateboard it was surprisingly easy to pick up. I have pushed the board to its max but I'm not much of a carver (yet). I love taking this on a commute and the conversations it helps start. I even secured a client because of this thing. I just wanted to thank you for opening my eyes to the community and a new way to explore. 👊🏾👊🏾
This is why I loved my riptide Rx1 .Totally different riding experience. Manuals, sliding, curb jumping, quick snaky carves.Vary fun board.I like the stoke but its range isnt as good as riptides 14 mile battery. And its 300 bucks more. Also the riptide came with shred lights and 90mm abec wheels so a big difference. Though I do love evolves products. I've ownd 3 evolve electric skateboards and I currently own the carbon GTR.Thanks for a good review.🤙
Thanks to your reviews boys I got both gtrs carbon all terrain and bamboo street in the span of two weeks alongside with two exway boards and now I'm looking at lacroix aswell, a very slippery slope😂😂😂😂
Hey mate been watching your vids for ages always great content. I can't agree more I love my stoke can't get enough of it cheers mate and good work once again.
I've had the stoke for a few weeks now and I can go to school and back with loads of battery left and I have the blue wheels and I have learnt to slide them in two days it's so good
whats this like for general commute in NYC, i am a 23 year old male looking for a long bored for commute to and from work. i live three miles from my place of work. what this like?
are 105mm cloud wheels ok to on stoke? I just got the board and the roads in the uk ain't the great but I love carving so I'm not sure what is the best.
Hello Chris, I reellt like you guys so I am not being rude. Could you please show us how you ollie the Stoke? I can ollie a skateboard daily well and high but no way the Stoke, it's too heavy. Also, please explain how you could completely trash the cloud wheels whereby the fairly timid Ricky goes nuts over them; "they are bad dangerous wheels" and then put them on your board?
There are a lot of differences. I had the pre production urban kick so I’d need to try the retail version before commenting but torque, to speed and carving would be totally different on each board
Awesome video! Does anyone know why they put a ‘slippery’ foam padding at the back of the deck instead of using normal grips? Do any tricks require a cushioned & non-grip surface to place the back foot? It has been a liability for me so far, my back foot lost the traction a couple of times when I practice 180 slides, has anyone replaced it with a normal grip?
Hello, I would really like to hear your opinion of the Stoke compared to the Onsra Challenger, pros and cons. Or even better, that would make a fantastic video. Cheers
Hey mate I ride my stoke the with 97mm wheels, mainly for cruising more like a long board. Maybe you could give that go and give your opinion on it. Biggest question I get is about wheel bite which my trucks are setup to avoid.
@Christopher Rickerd its actually more if you want use it for cruising and sliding or doing anything to crazy on it because the 97 flywheels are so grippy unless its damp outside. It carves and turns really well still, so no wheel bite. I ride here in Australia on footpaths and roads and its so smooth especially going up walkway gutters. Its like riding a really sweet longboard setup.
Got a GTR bamboo to hit trails with but definitely would love this for the neighborhood. Evolve seems to have a great track record. You get what you pay for. Solid review homie 🤘💪

Fun board. I have both gtr bamboo and stoke.

@@averageeskatereviews yeah. Stoke travel Battery can be used on both as you know so that's nice.
To deal with the "non optimal" terrain in UK could you use some larger wheels e.g. ABEC 11 97mm with riser pads to avoid wheel bite?
I put riptide pivot cups on my GTX. Can't feel the any difference to be honest 🤷🏽♂️
