That prickly fruit is called Salak.. native to Java and Sumatera, Indonesia. The scientific name is Salacca Zalacca. We do have them in Sabah. The fruit has a sweet sourish taste and can have a tart taste too.

You are taking us locals round town, Andrew. Showing me more of my own city. I must get out and see some of these places some day. I am especially interested where there is food. You are very adventurous! Take care. Safety on the road. ❤❤ "Hati-hati di jalanraya" (hati means heart). Here it means "beri perhatian" or be careful.

In addition to being KL's largest wet market, Chow Kit Market is also considerably less expensive than other wet markets in KL. Before it was transformed into the souvenir market as it is now, I used to do my marketing at Central Market in the early 1980s when it was still operated as a wet market.

Hi, the area that you eat is call Jalan Doraisamy. It use to be clubs row. Now full of restaurants and cafes. By the way, Chow Kit Road end the four juctions near where you park your bike. It boader with Jalan Sultan Ismail(heading to Bukit Bintang), Jalan Doraisamy(heading to Kàmpung Baru) and Jalan Ampang(heading to KLCC and Embassy Row)...heading home😊. Red light Chow Kit was near Jalan Raja Laut. Now no more due to night market operated. Have fun riding and stay safe❤.

Oh Chowkit, my childhood playground. Yes you should check out the night market; it's happening. It has changed a lot actually.
Tapestry is near Doraisamy. Not fond of driving here. I always have parking problem around this area.
Heritage row was red brick terrace lots on bothside of that road. It's pretty old. It had a wonderful character that has been lost. Yeah, it's open mostly at night.
Anggun is pronounce like Rangoon without the r. It means beautiful.
