I thought the offense actually operated better when #14 Trent Pearman was in. He made throws that let’s be honest both Cade and DJ struggled with. I’m talking about threading the needle type passes. Trent put up some really nice passes too. I will say this, Cade still needs work, same with CV, he needs to work on just being a little faster in his reads, check downs, and be a little bit faster on getting out of harm’s way when the pocket starts collapsing. My honest opinion, Trent is the guy leading the offense into Summer camp. That’s a good thing, puts Cade and CV on the spot to either improve or make way for a new QB1.
Looks like the same team from last year. Defense is solid and appears to have some depth. They are going to need it because this offense is going to put them on the field a lot. Unfortunately practice doesn’t translate to the field for the offense.
I missed the game, but according to all the comments I've read, the offense sounds like it hasn't made any meaningful progress that will return us to contender status.
@@michaelcope4495also it’s commonly known that defense should be a little ahead of the offense at this point in time. Can’t say too much bc I don’t know the future but it should look better when the o line isn’t split and the new guys and inactive starters get in the rotation

We only have 2 scholarship QBs and both are not good. You should have 4 or even 5 on the team. It's like we don't know what to do there. We are going off of TL and DW logic get the guy and have a back up that may be the guy and a bunch of walk ons
Aside from the interception he threw which was the receivers fault bc he just stopped he honestly played very well and made good decisions the only think really noticed he needed to improve on was getting through his progression faster he’s late when he gets to the 2nd or 3rd guy which allows zone coverage to sit and read him/his eyes and get a good break on the ball. Other than that he played about as well as you expect for a spring game
Dabo always protects his players, but Dabo, you are wrong about Cade, if he would grow up, change his attitude, be a team player, quit trying to be the only man on the team & hogging the ball. He needs to go!

Can't make that judgement on this game. Encouraging signs of life, but this game favored the defense. Mafah, Brinningstool, Tyler Brown didn't play.
