This Logo Evolution is very different to the others due to the confusion between the dates. In my opinion, Film4's logos are pretty bland to me except for the last two. Can't wait to see PolyGram.
The Filmstrip 1 and 2 were both made by ManVsMachine, who are experts on digital effects and IRL filmtography on logos for companies like Microsoft, and of course Film4. All of the effects they did were amazing, and they also did an unused Xbox One intro
Film4's history is really confusing, some say that the 2nd logo is actually first, because "Channel Four Films" was also named "Film Four", some people say that Film4 was named "Film On Four", before "Channel Four Films"
I think the 3rd logo (The one that is not on the CLG Wiki) Was used during 1998-2000, And I think the 4th logo was NOT used from 2000-2001 but rather 2001-2005. it makes sense. also, the "2nd" Logo (Actually the first one) Was Used Not from 1983-1998, but 1993-1997, and i think the "1st" (Actually the 2nd) Logo was used from 1997-1998 (Or maybe it Was just used on march 23rd 1997 only, maybe that's the only film film4 released at that time (That's a lot of film) Also, its good to see the "Next time on logo evolution" back, also The CLG Wiki at one Point had the "2nd" (Actually 1st) Logo saying it used from 1982-1998! Yes, you heard me, 1982.
The CLG keeps randomly changing their mind on the dates of logos, and film4 is a prime example. I remember with the 1993 Polygram logo, the CLG Wiki for a long time, thought it was seen again in 2007. That's why I don't fully understand the website. I did research. Apparently, the logo you reviewed was the logos of Film4 Productions. Sure it is called Film4, but the Film4 in the TV, is a TV network. That Film4, creates movies! Hence the name Film4 Productions.
ccg88 didnt you know that the dates for the film 4 logos have been fixe the first logos date has been changed to 1993-1999 the second logos date has been changed to 1996-1998 and made a suprise reapearence in 2021 the third logo that wasnt on the clg wiki is now on the clg wiki and was only used in 1996 the fourth logos date changed to 1998-2005 the fifth logos date was changed to just 2006 and 2016 and 2018 logos are now combined into one
