I think a lot of bosses should get improved drop tables, here’s my list, deranged archeologist, kalphite queen, KBD, crazy archeologist, chaos fanatic, corporeal beast (bit of a controversial one, but the reason is Corps drop table is kind of miserable unless you get lucky, and you can only get like 8 kills an hour, and with clans you might not even get any drops your way).
I forgot this guy even existed, its a shame that there isnt any fun drops from him. Perhaps something like an eternal digsite pendant could be a fun option if they were to rework it.

who would've guessed a copy paste boss without uniques, no real relevant loot (except dragon arrows and bolt tips I guess) and damage that doesn't make any sense would be this dead. jagex should just create some swamp monster boss and completely replace this guy
Yeah and have a quest or side story quest where the archeologist summons or brings forth a tar monster that kills him and just have a new monster or make the archeologist like a minion of the tar monster and you fight both of them at the same time
Runelite is an absolute godsend. I came back after 10 years and when Runelite was down for maintenance, I found the normal client unplayable. So many helpful features that take out a lot of the tedious crap and adds a ton of fun functionality.

The point of killing it was the glories should have just buffed the drop rate of them instead of removing them. People need to quit crying when they add something that makes being an ironman ever so slightly easier

Would you consider the deranged archaeologist a "practice boss"? Yeah, it's still tough and can certainly kill you, but it doesn't compare to most other bosses. It's also not in the wilderness. I think it might be a good introduction to bossing.

This was the first boss I ever fought in OSRS, and it was really fun and enjoyable, but I had a hard time making any money from it and that was really sucky. It's so out of the way, and not exactly easy by any stretch because of the ability you've got to dodge, and it's really disappointing that you can't profit from him.
This boss is terrible. Its fun to fight, but since you essentially are required to use magic to fight it, theres an inherent high supply cost. Using a basic trident, you can make about 500k an hour, but it costs you 400k/hr in just rune costs. Theres no profit in it and there's no way to make it any better. I did about 120 kills on my hcim because I wanted some dragon arrows for my hcim. I wouldn't ever touch this thing on a main. I think you're right that it only exists for an alternative non-wildy task
Maybe Jagex had intentions to make Numulite less common from other sources and more useful in general so that killing this boss would be marginally useful. Then again, there's a good few bosses that have essentially no useful drops for anyone that isn't an ironman. Sometimes bosses in Old School feel like they have Bethesda syndrome where they probably had an intented use, but they got power crept out of the devs just straight up forgot.
Hey dude, video suggestion: Loot from X (10,000?) Mithril Seeds. The seeds are 175 gp each, and you can black flowers for 50k, white flowers for 200k, both at a rate of 1/1000. Could be interesting! Keep up the good work mate and thanks for the content.
I mean the trident of the swamp is underrated you only lose 2 max hits and its half the cost of the toxic trident although you do lose 2 max hits in 4:30 minutes.
I would suggest watching blade runner as it has harrison ford in it. a really good movie that looks at artificial life and dealing with intelligent life.
why wouldn't he tell people to make sure they hae all the fossil done in the varrock museum before trading them to that guy for money? if u complete all the fossils its like 150k free exp in lamps

Since I'm farming herbiboar for pet, I would love to know how much cash I have made roughly, I have harvested 1879 and haven't tracked any of my catches. Would love to see how much you would make from 10k or 5k or even 6.5k for pet drop rate.

Hes fine, if You do it properly.hop every kill and youll have 100~ kill hr with max gear. Ive used ahrims and sang for safe and easy hour long trips.

The wiki as of 6/8/21 states the archeologist has a + 300 mage defense and a +20 slash and stab defense.
