Back in the early 1990s, you had to be able to dance AND sing at the same time. As difficult as it was, a lot of the groups lived up to that challenge (BoyzIImen, TLC, BBD, Bobby Brown). Kudos to Ex-Girlfriend because this was one highly difficult choreographed dance routine to sing too. And these ladies delivered. This performance made me respect them even more.

People couldn't find them ANYWHERE so to see them performing LIVE on The Apollo is a wonderful treat. Straight flashback and vibes from the early 90s too. What a great time! Thank you Ex Girlfriend for the great music and great harmonies. The one in the green started killing the dance steps too!!! (Stacy X, Tisha X, Monica X and Julia X)

I believe this was they first live appearance I loved Envouge but when they came along loved them to truly believe they kept Envouge up late cause these Ladies were no joke.
There are some music groups you never forget from your youth. Ex*Girlfriend was one of them & would give anything just to hear them sing again live. Loved their debuted album. ❤
Look at Stacy Francis. Lol. She later auditioned for America's Got Talent and blew Simon away. She was also singing background in D'Atra Hick's "Everything I feel" from Momma I Wanna Sing. And she was the one involved in the controversial riff with Whitney Houston at the club. That girl gets around. Lol.

Man.....one can't diminish the vocals of EnVogue, they are a standard, and if DJs were paid, it was the label not them. ExGirlfriend is highly underrated though, I agree.
You know it's the label's ploy not any member's control, in fact they were underpaid. En Vogue gave birth to the trend of 90s R&B girl groups, but I agree Ex Girlfriend was underrated and deserved more, I wish they had more recognition.
