I like how it starts off with a FJ cruiser front end and then morphs into a tacoma front end.
If you think this is a sure thing, you might be wrong. Toyota HQ has not confirmed production and has no plans at this time to move forward. Of course, all subject to change.
They made the same mistake while showcasing the regular FJ cruiser as well. Started of definitely FJ, and even said, "while keeping the familiar round headlights " at the same time showing either the Tacoma or 4Runner front end and headlights! Thinking it's just an attention grab and not actually something coming to market. Although a new FJ would be great, and an FJ truck variant would be even cooler! But only if they kept it iconic with its looks and off road chops. But I'm sorry, those prices, and the 4 or 6 cylinder turbos just aren't as reliable! And paying in the $50-60,000 range for what is considered a midsized truck "Tacoma platform " is getting ridiculous 🙄
Rear suspension is 50 year old technology.... this thing will be straight off and updated Tacoma assembly line.
Toyota Tacoma!!! 🤦♂
No one going to buy it. Over priced.
