    You've got lots of space. Add a small seating area - two chairs and a small table. Also add a second shelving unit to store your row covers and that kind of stuff.

    SuperSod has hummus compost and they deliver. One cubic yard. I purchased last year and about to purchase another big yellow bag within the next week or so. Great stuff. Look into it. Buying in bulk, cheaper price.

      @@AGardenersJourneyHomestead oh ok. They do have the option of picking up a bag, but of course you will have to have a heavy duty pickup, if they have a office near you. Well, your mix looks fantastic. If you have a hydroponic store near you, you may find you can buy bigger bags of everything you need when it comes to garden seeds at cheaper price when buying in bulk too. I am happy to have found my seller, because I buy my bulk bloodmeal, bonemeal, azomite, cottonseed meall, peerlite and vermiculite from them. I wish you well on your gardening. Love your channel. I'm sitting here trying to figure out what mix I need to create for my strawberry plants I have coming soon. I'm starting tons of flowers from seeds, roots and bulbs. I am not growing so crazy this year on veg garden. I am trying to create a beautiful landscape for front yard, which I failed at last summer, but trying again this year. Best of wishes. Keep up the good work.

    Well, I definitely am gonna try to make this homemade potty mix because it’s very expensive and I am trying to use a lot more container gardens in the future because I have a really bad leg and I can’t get down anymore at all in the garden. Everything‘s gonna have to start going in container or raise bedsprobably more containers just not doing well. But I still want to garden.

    I love your videos ❤️ You are spot on what you said about being married. After your plants get up and growing do you still use cottonseed meal, kelp meal and rock phosphate? I’m in SW Florida and still learning.

    • @AGardenersJourneyHomestead
      @AGardenersJourneyHomestead  8 месяцев назад +1

      Yes I do if that is what they need. I do a soil test each season and amend the soil according to the deficiency.

    When I made my soil .I used coco coir and peat moss, and like you I added other things.I wanted to use the huge blocks of coco coir up because it was sitting in my shed.Im telling you that mixture filled my huge wheel barrow up ( I still have some).

      @AGardenersJourneyHomestead IF I'm not mistaken, I got it from the feed store or on Amazon. Now, this was about a year ago( this is why I was using it up).I went on Amazon, and I didn't see that size .So I will check my feed store .

    Barbara, I’m considering buying either a small greenhouse or a high tunnel which would you recommend and how do you heat it this time of year

    • @AGardenersJourneyHomestead
      @AGardenersJourneyHomestead  8 месяцев назад +1

      It depends on your goals, need and how much space you have. For a high tunnel, you can get the capability to heat via gas or propane. For a greenhouse, you can buy a greenhouse fan to heat.

  • @delphine88313

    I do make a little of my compost, but for health reasons, I'm limited. All the lifting,stirring back, bothers my back at times.Im just a small-time gardener, so it's not so bad.If I had help, it would be cheaper. I purchased three bags of that " frog" soil, and it ain't cheap lol ( I got it for my greenstalk).I am purchasing some compost lord willing in March and that's not cheap either. The person who makes it puts organic agents in the mixture ( so I don't need to use anything in the compost when planting).
