You’ve got to see this performed live at the 2009 VMAS. It’s what solidified her as a star. Her 2015 Sound of Music tribute at The Oscars solidified her as one of the best vocalist of our generation

Gaga once said in this era when her label demanded her to be sexier and show more skin she would add her touch of weirdness and eccentricity as a form of rebellion. That’s pretty evident in her music videos

His wife B. Åkerlund, who was the stylist for the video, did a fantastic job, too!
She had access to these fantastic archive pieces, like the Mugler metal corset, that she couldn't use on any other client.
So she has elated to work with Gaga, who didn't shy away from wearing more outlandish things.

For the little choreography we got in the video, what was featured was absolutely exquisite. The video was meant to be disturbing and scary and I feel like the choreo really gives such a creepy, psychotic vibe. it's very much based in interpretive dance and Gaga really nailed it to be at the level of the dancers.

If you are exploring Gaga’s works, you must check out her live performances. She’s a powerhouse performer and performance art makes up a considerable part of her artistry. There are plethora of options to choose from, ranging from her pop stuff to jazz and acoustic piano to song covers.

The scene of her "return" in the wheelchair and walking with the crutches always reminds me of the photoshoot Helmut Newton did for Vogue magazine in the 1990s, when he photographed model Nadja Auermann as a very sexy disabled person.

Gaga's stainless steel outfit in that part of the video is by Thierry Mugler who also provided a lot of the clothes worn by Nadja in the shoot you mentioned.

Great seeing your reaction to hearing these songs for the first time! What I would give to rediscover Gaga's music all over again, she has one of the greatest and most interesting discographies in the history of pop music. As you react to more of her music and performances, you will probably see that she is extremely versatile. It's kind of the main ethos of her entire career and brand that you can't really categorise her as one thing or another, every time you think you have her figured out, she will surprise you and unveil an entirely new side of her artistry, somehow remaining both authentic and real yet mysterious and enigmatic simultaneously.. And in regards to your questions about her outfits and the intention behind it, there's a few different answers. Partly it is pure escapist fantasy, which was a breath of fresh air when she broke onto the scene in the late 2000's, and partly there is a social and political message.. Creating herself into this absurdist surreal performance artist in the early days of her career meant that she subverted all of the rules and expectations around what a female pop star should look like and couldn't be boxed in by other people's expectations or what they were comfortable with. Hope you enjoy continuing your Gaga journey!

the dresses: the "robotic" one may symbolize her healing from the fall and the cast used to heal broken bones. at the end, she is dressed like a mouse and poisons a human which is quite ironic. all the crazy ouftits she used to wear are a reflection of her and her music at the moment

Her voice is great? Her voice is Phenomenal! She can sing anything any genre. She’s classically trained. She plays piano brilliantly. She’s evolved so much since she came in to the scene all them years ago. She’s a triple threat… sings, dances and an Oscar nominated actress.

This is my favorite song off The Fame. It was when she became huge and she was probably saving this single for last knowing she could do something big with the video. I am not fond of the bridge. It seems a bit rushed but the chorus and verses are wonderful!

Please react to her magnum opus, Bad Romance. It’s music video has been named the best music video of this century by many publications including Billboard. She won 7 awards for that song alone at the 2010 Video Music Awards-winning altogether 8 (1 for Telephone) out of her 13 nominations that night. The song also has some clever horror influenced lyricism.

I like Lady Gaga more than Madonna but without Madonna you don't have Lady Gaga.
They get compared a lot but I don't see the similarities.
Songs I think you should check out
    Bad romance
    Million reasons
    The edge of Glory
    Marry the night
And Shallow live from the Grammys with Bradley Cooper but the Grammys is very fussy and sensitive about copyright infringement

Yess you got it! it's a commentary about fame and celebrity culture, gaga has always that masterful kind of storytelling in her music, fashion and videos where is much more than meets the eye at first and it has so much intentional deep meaning, for example, if you notice, the crime scene of her hitting the pavement from the balcony is completely staged! clear and intentionally staged, she is blinded by glasses covered with diamonds and strangled by pearls necklaces, first it's a really morbid thought that people would be remorselessly staging your potential death scene so that they could take the picture and it looks dramatic and sensationalist enough for them to make an spectacle and a profit out of it, literally profiting off death, and then the celebrity is just blinded by all the rich lifestyle while at the same time being a pawn of the fame industry that thrives off their own detriment and they get their riches and success thriving off everyone's detriment by enabling and fueling the same cycle of futility and social death. it might look exaggerated or hyperbolic, but there are so many real life cases where death and the downfall of the star is the very thing that sells the most and what everyone deep down really craves, the drama of everything.
This song really captures that darkness of the human psyche while at the same time being a super catchy pop structured song, she makes such tasteful pop music!

I respect her talent, but could never get into her. Fun fact I just learned Lana Del Rey made a diss track about her a decade ago no one is quite sure why except they used to sing at the same clubs in NY and I think she considered Gaga a sellout because the music that made her popular wasn’t what she did before 🤷🏻‍♂️. That’s all I gotta say lol. Dance electro-pop just isn’t my thing lol
