Such a beautiful song with a beautiful message. This might seem weird, but I started to tear up when I heard the Owl City style sound in the background because I was hit with such a strong wave of nostalgia. I held off listening to this song for awhile because I miss Owl City's music SO MUCH, but I didn't think about just how well Owl City and Joshua Micah's music styles AND voices would go together! From the first couple of notes that unmistakable Owl City vibe instantly hit me and I just felt a huge grin spread across my face. Needless to say, I now have a new favorite song and therefore and new song to memorize so I can sing it whenever I feel like it!

I'm so glad they make it clear that it is the LORD who is the light. He truly can take your hand from the depth of the darkest place and walk you out of that pit of despair, simultaneously healing your wounds, teaching you to not repeat the same mistakes and setting you free from the traps that were all laid in that same darkness. Being half in and half out is such a dangerous way to live, when you are aware of that darkness and play with it.

I heard owl city for the first time from 2 movies: Wreck It Ralph, and Escape from Planet Earth. Then I got to find out who Owl City was in 7th grade and I jammed hard to his songs.
