    Same here, got rid of all my 6” ML and Black Series due to space limitations. I’m a child of the 80’s so my first love was 3.75 anyway. I wonder if we could se a resurgence of the 3.75 Marvel Universe because of the crazy inflating prices of Legends. The Star Wars vintage collection was resurrected after a few years, hopefully the success of the Marvel retro line lets Hasbro know we are down for more 3.75”!

      I know! If too many people buy the new junk ones they'll know they don't have to make nice ones anymore. But maybe it'll see like a Star Wars vintage collection style come back at some point? And thank you for the kind words. I love these things. I'm trying to put more videos up all the time and get the few that I missed out on. 🍕🍕🤙

    I passed on them before but now, I wish I had owned the classic characters, like Spider-Man, Hulk, etc. I only had Hercules and the other one that looked like Wolverine but it had a cape. I know DC made small super articulated figures like these, but I forgot exactly what that toy line was called.

    • @toylips
      @toylips  Год назад +1

      I think it's more impressive the detail that they can pack into the smaller scale. The DC stuff was just called DC Universe. They weren't quite as good as the Marvel ones, but I have a few. There's just no room for all these giant ass modern figures! 🤙

      I know! The funny thing is while I've been considering a proper reply to your comment, something dark and disturbing occurred to me. Because Hasbro's a publicly traded company, and is obligated to increase profits for their shareholders every quarter or whatever, it's not like they can just spontaneously give us better quality at a decent price point having passed that stuff years ago. Maybe it really would be better with someone else holding the main 6-in license? And has broken try again in a few years? 🙃

    Still one of the very best figure lines- and still one with a passionate community that makes customs for anything we didn't get figure of- like the other Heralds of Galactus (though there are two Silver Surfer figures- one nicely chromed!).
    The Marvel Universe collection also got exclusives that Legends never made- like a giant Secret Invasion Super Skrull, 18" Frost Giant with classic Loki, etc.j
    And for scale, you can't go wrong- Universe let's you mix and combine everything from Star Wars to GI Joe various cowboy and military lines, fantasy figures and even Transformers with the two huge MAS-01 Optimus Prime and Megatron figures!

    Isn't 3.75 sentry smaller than Hyperion?it's the re use on the Hulks that annoys me they could have mixed up the scale and headsculpts for the various Hulks, like savage hulk, prof,Joe fixit.ive had to bring some Norton hulk movie line into the collection for variety.

    Something great to get with Marvel Universe figures is the FF movie Fantasticar. It fits the 3.75" Marvel Universe figures perfectly - much better than the 6" line it was made for.
    Revoltech Micro War Machine and Iron Man are both PERFECT for Marvel Universe-- being each 4" tall and looking like how a 3.75" man in armor would look.
    Absolutely incredible figures too!
    Prior to the MU line, Toybiz tested out the scale with "Marvel Legends Showdown" figures- a short lived line of 3.75-4" figures have a few high quality figures I suggest adding to any Marvel Universe collection -
    Classic Thor stands 4.10" tall and is amazing.
    Mole Man and Doc Ock are comic perfect.
    The Thing is better articulated than the MU version and looks perfect.
    Stay away from the Sue Richards though! Possibly the most hideous figure ever made.
    It looks like a blow up doll!
