I just got through retiring all of my late 90's and early 2k jeans for athletic slim fit, but now loose jeans are coming back? They say these things recycle every 20 years or so. Didn't think it was actually true.
After watching the video, the trends that I like and plan on investing more into are: 1. Collegiate, 3. Trail/Hiking Footwear, 4. Seasonless fashion, 5. Dad denim, 6. Sustainability, 7. Casual Loafers, 8. Utility , and 10. Bold-colored sneakers. 1. Collegiate - Im a fan of Rugby stripes and haven’t worn any for a while, so I’m game. Chill lifer here, so the sweatpants vibes calls me daily. 3. Trail/Hiking footwear - Since 2019 I’ve been on the “Urban Outdoor” wave. Function before form for me. Brands that I’m currently invested into are: Nike Trail, Hoka One One, NB327, Salomon, Asics Gels, and even Reebok has some sleeper trail shoes. Don’t sleep. 4. Seasonless Fashion - Who needs a reason to appreciate style? I thought it was cool how he tied in our current Corona Economics affect on the global fashion industry. 5. Dad denim - Not really a fan of the current dad jeans or super chunky dad shoes, but I do appreciate a good work pant. I’m a technician by trade and I live in my pants. Throw me a sweatshirt, baggy tee, and some sneakers after work and I’m goodie. 6. Sustainability - I need a pair of Space Hippies. Or two. Or three.. 7. Casual Loafers - I was thinking of buying a pair of loafers the other day. Cole Haans or some Sperrys. Depending on the price, however, I may be willing to cop a pair of Jerry’s loafers. Get my old man on. 8. Utility - Function before form. Urban Ninja. Batman. 10. Bold Colored Sneakers - I’m most interested and passionate about Japanese anime/culture/fashion.
