@Keith Nichols I've been searching on google maps/earth for years. Every spot that I have found is about an hour or more away. And I can't drive yet so I have to get my parents to drive me. I usually stick to the ocean though because I live a few minutes from the pacific, I guess I kind of take it for granted. I do live right next to a creek, however you can't fish in it because our steelhead are protected.

When I lived in Southern Missouri I would spend weekends looking for these out of the way fishing spots. I had grid maps that showed almost every dirt road and every creek and stream. I drove a beater AWD Rav-4 so most of the roads were navigable although it became dicey at times. I absolutely loved these fishing adventures. I fished with an ultra light making it even more fun. I remember getting a massive hit once and thinking this is the small mouth I have been waiting for but turned out to be a beautiful perch that must have given the strike everything it had.
Looks like a spot that could definitely be a good place for Well. Geeat video!

Perch taste delicious. They are like a little bit dry, so you have to ad oil or butter in the pan.

I have a creek I fish that's around that size. Crystal clear water though. I also caught a surprisingly big largemouth in it. I don't see many of them in there though, it's mostly pumpkin seeds and smallmouth (not complaining).
I've been turned around before too... Ran into someone's camp like that once, what looked like a brand new tent tent blown over and abandoned. It was weird.
Be careful watching out for snakes. I saw a huge water moccasin today.
