E S I have a different feeling about this advertisement. It’s outdated, looks like every regular headphones advertisement. Sony always put a lot of effort to make awesome PlayStation ads, but not for other products unfortunately.
I want the wh 1000m4's. I hope they come out soon. The m3's are just too superior then bose. I still love my m'3. Over the headphones but the 1000m3's earbuds are good.

Sony, who has been in the audio/headphone business for at least 40 years, has way more products available and in all different shapes, sizes, and levels of quality. If they had an easily digestible name like "Airpods" it's probably been used before. They trust people to do their research and decide what they want. Apple just sells you what they want.

Love SONY! As an eastern European kid was a brand I was dreaming for, therefore now I have a wired and a wireless set from them, and they sound amazing! ... But when I run I have to use the Plantronics BackBeat Fit (3200), they sound pretty good, but they never fell (my biggest issue with several wireless buds)
Probably thiw new one have a cheaper aproach. Anyway, i miss the wireless charger in both models. I have the wh1000xm3 and i love it, but for a portable devide like a inear eadbuds, wireless charger for me is a "must have".

WF 1000 series is flagship or top of the line in WF(wireless freedom) wireless earbuds. XB for extra bass category, SP for sport category. And 1 more category, the hear.on if im not mistaken.
I think the reason they give it a long and specific name like that is so its universally understood which model it is, whereas if i lived in a non english speaking contry they wouldnt have to translate or come up with a different name for the product and i guess that makes things easier for the consumer especially when they wanna find an unboxing/review/help guide video
