I still come back and watch this sometimes. As a showcase it's structured and paced so well, shows off a bunch of the great things about Gitadora and what makes it so special, and Vincent is just pretty much a rhythm game god to tie it all off.
Incredible showcase. Way back in the day I used to go to a local arcade weekly mostly to play DDR. Then suddenly a Drummania 3rd Mix appeared... and then 5th Mix. And I learned the rudimentaries of drumming from a video game and stopped playing DDR because drums were way too fun. Back then there were several less drum/cymbal pads but it was still legit Roland (IIRC) hardware on the machines. The current interface is pretty damn slick compared to those old arcade units with raster displays and essentially PSX hardware on the inside. A bit of a shame about the always-on nature of Konami's e-Amuse but I also get that it means no more "Xth Mix" editions since they can just update it at-will. These days I have my own electric kit which is far cheaper and more neighbor friendly (especially in a highrise) and I still goof around with it to this day. Edit: Roland TD-1KV for anyone looking for a nice entry level set.
It looks simple enough to figure out with the mechanics. If I remember right, this basically inspired Rock Band and Guitar Hero. Snare, kick, toms 1-3, hi-hat, crash, and ride!!
Let’s Dance is a SOLID selection, super fun chart on Extreme and Master. I’m surprised Toxic Vibration wasn’t played, that’s another great showcase song.
Seems like most songs here are Japanese songs. I was hoping that they have some local and also western songs that are more familiar to me. I play GITADORA or a similar game to this whenever I go to the mall with my family. but since I don't know much of the songs and I don't know how to read Japanese yet, I don't do too well on the game. haha

what kind of drums were used for this? is it an actual electronic kit?
Drummania uses a modified Yamaha set built into the machine.
Wow you got a full arcade cab in there?
Wow, this vod is the exact same duration as the run estimate
