Love the mini/ midi Sany stuff but think I would have had to bring in a 200 to 400 series machine to take those stumps, way quicker and not beating up the mini.

Could you give an estimate on roughly how long each stump took to dig up? I’ve got an sy50 coming next week and trying to get an idea.

The bigger oaks took right at 30 minutes. Thats start to finish- dragging them out. I back filled the holes after that.

Question .... why didn't you push the trees over first so you had the leverage of the full tree? The firewood guy could have still come cut his wood but your stumps would have been out already.

Great question - there were a total of 13 big trees ranging between 60’-80’ tall. So, our main obstacle were the other Oaks in the area that the client didn’t want damaged and a new fence that was installed after we cleared the property some months earlier. We determined that this was out best solution. Worked out great - the client was thrilled how it turned out!! Thats all that matters in the end. “Its all part of the mulching life”. See ya on the flipped side!!

For sure! Always use the weight of tree against itself! Way less time on digging out the root ball!

Do you plan on posting the final product after mulching? I am enjoying your videos.

Yes sir. This was mainly post to show the Mini-hoe snatching up oak stumps. We’re about a month behind on some of the videos. I’ll request that the rest of this video be posted.

Yeah - we’re not an excavation company - we just dabble in a stump removal on residual properties.

The point of baby excavators is they beat the crap out of a backhoe for less money

A stump blade would save you a lot of time. Perfect for cutting roots in the ground.
