    Most powerful I've tried is a GSX-R 750. That was insanely powerful. 600cc is plenty enough power for me.

    • @BlondeWick
      @BlondeWick 6 месяцев назад +12

      I've always viewed the 750 as the "true flagship" in the GSXR lineup. Basically a 600 in frame size and another 150cc of displacement that gives it enough high velocity power to drastically shift the gearing towards the 1000 meta and not kill the hp/tq curve.
      The good ol' progenitors of the modern sportbike (specifically the VFR750) did it out of tariff busting necessities, but the mold was laid. Really just fine tuning towards either end of spectrum is what made 600s and 1000s popular post tariff.

No insurance company on the planet is going to want to pay out that claim, lol. I know I fixed mine out of pocket and essentially had to rebuild the left side of my bike. That tipping point when your brain clicks that it's over feels like an infinity going from, "I feel like a god" to, "This isn't going to end well" to, "Why is my bike leaving me?" And then it all clicks when you slam into the ground and go tumbling away, lol. I didn't mean to bring you down! Keep on riding and just.. you know.. wear gear and all that. I know I lost my shoes when I hit the ground and I'm really glad I was wearing gloves. I bought riding shoes after that which was a great decision. One of the most highly regarded bikes of the 80s. A friend had the exact same bike. i quit riding when he was mangled badly in a head on. Both him and the car doing 70, he was an inpatient for a year undergoing dozens of surgeries. Left leg and arm completely gloved. (All flesh and muscle stripped off the bone)

    I own a ‘24 Aprilia 660 Factory.
    Buddy owns a 23 H2 SX SE.
    I was cruising at 120mph and he passed me like I was standing still.

    My 1st Street bike was a 03 gsxr 1000, full exhaust, t.r.e. chip and a power commander. Before that it was a decade since I rode my Suzuki 250 quad racer 😅😅 what an experience. After 2 seasons I lost fear in riding it at speeds of 196. Once I didn't fear that I felt it was time to get rid of it

      I rode a 1982 cr480r when I was 16 until I turned 18. So when I turned 31 and wife hit a jackpot at the casino for $14,000 I bought a 2001 gsxr 1000 as first street bike... they are insane.. got sideswiped by a car pulling out onto the road i was on while i was doing 117mph and then after 668 ft. Slide i was ran over by oncoming suv.. I'm lucky to be alive honestly 6 weeks in Emanuel hospital in Portland oregon. But I still ride... currently I have a 98 cbr 919 and a 99 triumph daytona 955i... riding is the best feeling in the world. Stay safe everyone. Life's short so have some fun
