I agree. I own a kia forte and plan on keeping it until the wheels fall off. Lifestyle creep is a real thing. If you are not careful, you will find yourself living a lifestyle you truly can't afford. My goal is to purchase my home either by the end of this year or the beginning of next year. I want to have my car paid off before then. I also want to make sure that my monthly expenses can be paid with one check. Iam moving extremely slow and intentional. I just don't want to see myself drowning in debt. It just isn't worth it.
You have made so many good points. The one I like the best is where you ask yourself would I still want this item if no one could see me with it. That is a very good question and it’s kind of opened my eyes to how to recognize whether some thing is, it’s just a purchase 2 to upgrade my lifestyle or if is it something that is really useful and needed. Thanks for this video!
ALWAYS great to re-hear similar things you have heard. Great points/Great vid. The LV bag should be a treat to yourself - when you are ready. Financial organization is your niche.
I loved this sit-down talk! I'm in the season of life that I use the same strategies that you shared to determine whether a purchase is worth it. I love hearing others that have a similar approach because it feels rare these days.
Great tips as always! I never thought about setting goals with my money. I kinda just spent it as I went, not actively thinking of ways to cut back on bills. Thanks for sharing and your skin looks great!
I wanted a car so bad. Once I got one, I realize that what I actually wanted wa to live in a place that didn’t require a car. A car is convenient but it’s a money pit, none stop money pit (gas, tires, maintenance, oil changed, insurance, car tax) etc etc😒
Ahhhh I just love you and your whole vibe. This video really made me think. I really loved the gratitude point. Be content with what we have ❤️ Really inspires me to THINK before I BUY. Social media makes me always wanna buy stuff 🙈
Your content gives me life, Shay. Thank you for the reality ✔. As a result, my husband and I canceled changing to another alarm monitoring company that was going to be a higher payment each month. I also downgraded a subscription by $13.00. It feels good. Thank you 😊.
You look stunning, Shay! It's my first time coming across the term "lifestyle creep" even though I know what it is. My policy is no need to pay the full price if I can get it for cheaper. I'm ready to spend top dollar for an item I actually need versus an item for flexing. Great questions to ask ourselves. The gratitude part was so powerful. This is such an informative and practical video.🙂
Very great tips and those honest conversations with ourselves and our mate is so important. I wish I had those personal conversations earlier on in life.
Hello, new subbie here You're so beautiful ma'am. Couldn't Couldn't focused coz of your perfect face and teeth 😍 💗 Thanks for the rant, looking forward to your content 😊

I was bad at it when I was younger but once I turned 30 I decided I didn't need to show off and got myself together. Great vid.
One, I needed this conversation two years ago because I am living this cycle. Two, you are glowing! Very insightful tips and great perspectives.
Videos like this is one of the reasons you’re one of my favorite RUclipsrs: You come real with some great and practical tips. Thank you!

This was a really good video! I felt like I was watching a masterclass or Ted talk. I love how you break things down and give examples!

Loved this & I definitely look at your for inspiration for where I want to be headed! I'm glad you're vulnerable enough to share the nitty-gritty.
Thanks for these videos… these are always things that we notice about ourselves but never address

I fall victim to this every time my income increases. Thank you for this video, it put some things into perspective. 🌸💚

I've never fell victim to lifestyle creep...I'm more on the side of giving myself the pep talk of, "girl...you make good money, act like it" - LoL
Rich people probz 😂😭
