16:21 you’re not wrong , I follow a locked on Denver podcast , the fans are flaming him 😂 they’re not happy with Jamal, he NEEDS to be better , I think he can get there but injury ? Big question
Evan Mobley improved in every shooting category (37% from 3!), was the best player on the court in the elimination game vs Boston, and plays DPotY candidate defense every year, he missed a lot of the year (not due to ankle) but due to knee surgery so most fans missed it unless you watch every cavs game I think all it takes for him to make all-star this year is health + 4 more shots per game Love your content, we'll see who is right about Mobley!
I'd have to imagine vegas odds of Mobley being an all-star are high. The only thing is there are a lot of guys on that Cleveland team with all-star potential and I don't know how many guys they get on the team. Glad you're enjoying the vids, man!
the thing about randle being a chucker is thats obviously the nature of the amount of takes and gameplan. for kobe to shoot 40% from 3 for examples it easier for him to just take better shots. If randle takes a lesser offensive role to unlock OG and Mikal then his shots would just inherently be better but also he could put more energy into the defensive side of the ball
Really think Jalen Johnson takes that next step being 2nd option now also very good defensively and underrated passer, also could see Mathurin too if he gets inserted into starting lineup
I think Jamal's all star chance is gone, the west has only gotten more star players and it seems like he's lowkey declining. Something is very wrong with his game now I don't think its a small sample size. He would have been an all star with the nuggets at the top of the conference but now I don't think they'll even be top 3 next year
Jonathan Kuminga will be an allstar. Theyy've cleared out Klay now. Kuminga's last few months he was putting up legit all-star numbers already. While not averaging full time minutes. Plus he's got the Steph Curry/Golden State boost. Wouldn't be surprised to see a 23ppg/6reb/4ast season out of him while shooting >60% TS.
I cannot stand all of the discourse around the all star game itself not being competitive. It shouldn't be, it's a fun exhibition for us to watch mindless highlights. The real competition comes with the young guys at the rising stars games. I don't think its fair to expect guys like Steph, Kd, Giannis, Lebron to be playing defense and running plays for an exhibition in february
IMO the all star game has become a joke to the point where it is the least anticipated and exciting event during the break (dunk contest up there too, for the same reasons). Things like the draft lottery, nba cup, etc. are events I see more value in. The lack of engagement among the star players is something that effects me as the viewer (along with others who dislike the state of the all star game), and is the sole reason why watching the Olympics and things like FIBA have become so fun. All-nba has become the new “sought after” status by players, so idk why we even have the all star game at this point. It is hard to incentivize people making tens of millions of dollars to play and risk an injury in a game that only attributes to an individuals success. I think the in-season tournament was so competitive last year because it was a team based accolade. If there was some way for the all star game to have some sort of stakes tied to regular season/playoff team success (similar to how in the mlb, the winning league of the all star game had home field advantage in the World Series), then I think the league should go for it. Idk what that stake is tho… I just wanna see more plays similar to the Olympics. Even if these all stars play at like 70%, I would much rather see that than the current 25% effort that is given.
I see your point but I’d have to disagree it’s one game of the year the simple fast break alley oops aren’t enough. We saw how fun it was watching a team with that much talent in team USA. Now imagine 2 monster teams going at it. Highlights are so much better In a close game
@@Axeman-jm7ro totally agree. There was one all start game I think in 2020 or 2021 when they changed the rules… the ending to three game u saw mfs try take charges and stuff like that. Game was gas

JDub should've been an all-star last year, the numbers weren't as high, but he was way more efficient than other players at his position who made it in the West. And with players like PG13 who made it moving out of the West, I agree that JDub should be a clear all-star this year baring injury.

Definitely missed out on Cade, he won't have killian hayes or james Wiseman on the floor, new coach, plus adding tobias Harris and malik beasley will help the spacing tremendously along with last seasons addition of simone fontecchio(prolly spelled it wrong) but also I'm very biased and need to show pistons love because it won't happen elsewhere 😌
@whatshorts true, and unfortunately I know damn well that pistons are topping out at like 11-12 in the east, probably only over the hornets (maybe), nets, and wizards
Mikal could be the fourth guy on the Knicks that people would consider for an All-Star spot. I haven't heard you talk about it yet but when I first saw his name up there I thought that was a pretty big long shot. If he didn't get an All-Star vote being the lead guy for Brooklyn how's he going to do it being the third or fourth guy for the Knicks? Nope.😊
Hawks aren't tanking this year they don't want to as they don't own their pick, and if you watch dyson daniels during the olympics he was great he beat out Mattise Thybulle for a reason he's a better POA defender than even Herb Jones the hawks got Dyson to essentially play the Jrue Holiday Derrick white role on the team. The wizards have said they're gonna trade Jonas so I'd expect them to be firmly in the bottom 5 seeds I'd replace Kyle Kuzma with Jalen Johnson or Cade Cunningham, Jalen if the Hawks are good, Cade if the pistons are half decent he deserves at least some flowers.
Can you imagine in a year a roster of JDub, Shai, Chet, iHart, Caruso, a 3rd yr Cason, Dort, Wiggs, I.Joe, a healthy Nikola Topic, 2nd yr Ajay Mitchell, 2025 1st rd pick(probably a lottery pick in a great Draft) & JWill. That's a 'sick' 12 Man roster!
