My husband and I are homeless in Boise Idaho. Because we're homeless, the churches make us sleep in two different shelters. This song tells of the most heartbreaking part of my whole day, and somehow gives me hope for tomorrow. When I go to bed at night, I hear the girls sing " Woman, I will see you in the morning", I cry,...then I realize that he will be, and I can sleep.
the staves are my all time favorite band keaton henson is my all time favorite solo musician. This video made me teary I love this so much. This song is one of my favorites from the birthdays album and the staves are just amazing so I really hope they do way more videos together. Just the fact that they're friends makes life better.
I don't think this is better than the original, but they certainly took one of my favourite songs of the record and turned it into something equally as lovely. Keaton brings a fragility to a song that not many can do, but if I were him, I'd be so proud to have written a song that can translate so well into what genuinely could have been a Staves song. Plus it must be amazing hearing your baby, essentially, being sung by such talented musicians. Love this so much.
This was good, but definitely does not catch the same fragile feeling I love in Keaton's songs. I think it's because they're "too professional" singers, I mean perfection always lacks a bit of originality.
