i think noise insolation carpets that were underneath the matt are known to hold moisture, so it was this wet because eventually it accumulated water from outside factors like washing it or a leak from the door or roof.
Hi. I had carpet removed from my vw golf mk4 but that time I had no RUclips channel so no video futage recorded. Disconnect battery remove front seats, rear seat, centre console etc. It is more time consuming like on older vw golfs.There are some videos on RUclips. Straight forward job. Take your time doing it and job will done. Good luck with it.
@@drcoland OK thank you. I've had some leaking and been fixed but the carpet is still wet, under as well. So it needs to be removed/cleaned and dried to put it back in. I'll try soon when as it's so cold now.
