It will be average, in black and white. You can expect satisfactory results.
In your test video, are you able to see the vehicle number plate? And clear images of people?

Yes you can do that. You need not be on the same wifi network.

Hi, avk i have a question i want to buy fore my home in turkiye but i live in the netherlands if i mount {totall amount 7 mi 2k} in my house in turkiye can stil some one log in and see what the camera is recording besides than me. my grandma is living in my house in turkiye but i want to be shure that only i am logged in because you scanned a qr code so basicly evry ona can scan and log in than?
Honestly, stay away from mi cameras, if you are serious about security. 1st thing you should know, this is an internet ONLY camera. You might have internet 24x7, but that is not the problem, the problem is that it connects to a chinese server before recording anything to the device storage. You should know this, and you know the company and probably the chinese govt is looking at your feed all day.
2ndly, if you are investing in 7, please buy from a dedicated scurity camera manufacturer. That way, you will have lots of features specially tailored for security needs which is simply absent from any mi camera. Example, you can view all 7 feeds in a single screen in SriHome, escam etc brand cameras, where as in MI, you have to open all of them individually to check all the video feeds.
3rdly, no, once the camera is paired, nothing will happen if someone scans the code, but yes, if someone resets the device, and then scan, for a new pairing, you will loose access for sure.
My advice do not buy mi cameras for security, there are lots of better options. Hope it helps. Try to buy an nvr device if possible for 7 cameras.

Because I want a good app where I can see all the 7 footages at one screen of my smartphone I liked the mi 2k because it's tiny that's why and is not a bad brand Xiaomi (I think).

Or any other similar device, look for onvif and ip camera (both of which, mi camera is not)
Also try to add a nvr device to your setup, it is really simple. 8 channel nvr devices are cheap as well. You can install a hdd in the nvr device as well, which I think will make more sense than adding 7 microsd cards to each device seperately. Think about it. And with nvr, you are guaranteed to get all video feeds at the same time.
Without any account, you cannot use the camera. 2ndly, use some sense, irrespective of you recording the feed or not, the camera is always connected to the chinese servers. You never know, if they are recording your live feed or not.

1. How far can it go or how wide can it capture since it does not rotate?

FOV for this camera is 125°, C200 is 110°. it doesnt sound much but it's quite significant in daily use

Hi, I am not sure if I understand this correct - does the camera need constant wifi connection to record the footage? I planned to leave it in a place with no wifi/internet, connected to a powerbank and later watch the videos. Is it possible?
Yes it needs constant wifi connection with active internet. That's what I was talking about

No not possible. Usability of this camera is very limited. It is not a proper ip Camera. It is a proprietory camera. Not reccomended for privacy as well

It is not an Ip camera. You cannot login via web or NVR l. Only phone and app can be used. That is Xiaomi for you.
