I think that's a bit unfair to Meyer. She inherited a turnaround job that had little chance of success. Her moves weren't the best (Tumblr), but it was a rescue job. The real damage was done long before she was appointed the CEO.

They’re still incredibly popular in asia as a news site. When I lived in Japan I was surprised to hear that yahoo is one of the major players.
