hmm, i have a theory. so you know how curious light says “the backdoor is a forgotten place, and some parts even seem to be missing entirely.”when dying in the backdoor? i think it’s referring to the void. so what if, if something’s forgotten for long enough, it gets voided. as you “forget” your teammate behind a few doors, they get voided. so my theory is: the whole world of doors was too forgotten, and got voided. now it’s floating in a void. could this mean the player is also too forgotten, and ended up here? this could be the reason why we don’t remember anything, and seemingly have no identity. because we no longer exist, we’re in a void. the “limbo” text in the courtyard could prove this, as we’re in a state of “limbo”. we don’t exist, but we’re not dead either. and even the fact that you can crucify void. and don’t forget what happened in the tower heroes event. (i know it’s not canon, but it could still be foreshadowing). and that’s it for my theory. (listen, i know the whole theory sounds weird, because things don’t usually just *poof* and gone in real life, but still, it could make some sense). lemme know what ya guys think of this. (jeez, this was a long comment).
nah that’s an interesting theory, if you’ve read my recent comments I’ve believed the void is an extremely powerful entity and is what fills the gaps of the doors universe, and the lights are the only things keeping it at bay.
However I believe less in being forgotten and more in something was messed with that shouldn’t have been, and everyone in the hotel got transported, possibly being trapped in a limbo during that process
i think redibles stated on twitter that doors won't be following any religious stuff, not trying to be rude but here's a theory of mine, in the backdoor curious light says the backdoor is a very old place, no older than the hotel right? and there's no missing rooms in the hotel, considering curious light basically said the hotel is older than the backdoor, so my theory ie that the hotel gets regularly checked out, hence why it looks stable and doesn't have any doors behind it that's simply void and will kill you once you step through.
the curious light says that the backdoor is being forgotten after dying to vacuum which might explain that we are maybe lost in an alternate place that happens to be a hotel that was on earth
Btw incase you don't know but there is a wingdings font found in the pedestal at the statue in the Courtyard which translate to Limbo so it's possible that DOORS takes place in a limbo dimension where the player is trapped within it and have to escape this place. This might also explains why everything seems to be in a loop as whenever we die, we can just come back and do it over again whick would make sense for Curious Light to know we've meet it before and both Guiding Light and Curious Light know we've died before, so this pretty much means death isn't permanent.
I think the crucifix item also shows our religion, cause ofc it’s this only item that represents christians, why not use, idk why not use another religion symbols, it’s the only item that banishes entities, and for some reason it’s connected to guiding light
“I get what you’re saying, but I think there’s a difference here. Even if we technically have avatars, it doesn’t mean we’re actually playing as ‘ourselves’ in the game world. If every player was meant to be themselves, it’d be weird for all 300 million players to face the exact same Door 50 and Door 100 bosses, right? It’s not like there are 300 million versions of each entity; there’s just one of each in the game. That’s why I think there’s a specific ‘player’ character we’re all embodying. It feels personal, but we’re really just experiencing one character’s journey in DOORS over and over.”

W thoerys but what if the players are in a type of hell but its real and are we immortal? Because we can easily revive or restart as the same person we were and guiding light is protecting us
@@DoorsTheoryYT I mean it makes a lot of sense since we are the characters, we see ourselves in cutscenes. Our own avatars Maybe doors is just one of those "no lore at all" games

Bro, is everyone here actually confused on who the protagonist is, and actually accepting this. Don't get me wrong. It's good, but it was literally revealed when doors came out. Like all you would need to do is go to the RUclips channel and look at the trailers, and there you go, there's the protagonist. The dude who has the cruise effects neckwest and looks like a Lumbert. Jack, that's the main character, so you wasted a video next time. You should've done this with Peggy, because that was actually a question, or you could do a video about what would it be like if seek could consume the player and control them like the attacks at door 200? Because for all we know, it could be like venom. But you have to think of things like, would it be able to go through guiding like doors? Okay, would he be able to just go through other rooms, or would he only be with the seek parts? You gotta think of this Because I just imagine your friend staying behind in the Sikh chase only to get consumed by him and corrupt and like venom. And then him being a big threat as your friend essentially is corrupted against you, and then you try to save him
I personnally think you are going too far. Probably the main character doesn't have a true identity just to make the game better for everyone. In DOORS, we are not playing as a character. We are playing as ourselves. But I like your theories! Fire vid 🔥
