Thanks all for this episode. I will board for my third and final voyage in August, and had watched Andrew's video before my first voyage, thinking, "Well, forget it. I'll never be that much fun for the cast." But this episode and that video capture the ridiculous amount of fun, talent, and super hyped up positive energy that this experience brings. Andrew, if you ever catch this note, of if y'all can get a SWGS gift to him, I have a couple of handmade things I'd love to share with him that I'll be sharing with passengers, cast, and crew on my final voyage in August. If not, good journey and may the stars light your way. I LOVED listening. Hope y'all get on before the Halcyon docks.
He is accurate. I went on Starcruiser in May and it's fantastic. Everything he talks about I did. I was exhausted at the end of every day. The marketing failed to capture the magic of this. One memory: as I was leaving, I saw a ten year-old boy crying as he said to his father, "I don't want to go back to Earth." Yes, that's what it felt like. We weren't in a hotel in Florida. It was that immersive and that believable. It's very sad.
Since they bring up drinking, here is my story: I do a pretty good drunk act. Slur my words. Get wobbly, The whole thing. So, I go into the bar, order a drink late at night and start talking to the bartender - very drunkenly. "Y'know, never fall in love with a droid. I was on Tatooine and it was so great. Then she dumped me." And the bartender is just playing along. I continued, "Y'know...stick to humans. At least, bipeds." Bartender said, "I'm with you on that." And I then said, "Y'know...don't fall in love with anything that can't ride a bicycle." And I staggered off. The next day, my friend was in the bar and got the bartender to break character. He said, "Had a guy in here last night. I knew he was playing drunk, but the people watching behind the scenes didn't. I was told to cut him off."
I hate to be the gate-keepy one, but at 14:45 did he really just say that the Horizons pavilion is becoming the Play! pavilion? 😑 Also, he didn't even say anything about the ride itself. It was just a broad description of Epcot as a whole. How is that a "near-encyclipedic" knowledge of the parks?

I never had any excitement to stay at GS until I heard Andrew talk about it! His enthusiasm really makes me wish I could go
