It provides some good information on a LOT of army men. I do mean a LOT.
While that is limited the US soldiers, i use Plastic Soldier review for reference, though it focuses on 1/72 scale figures.
@@TheGeneralMoe114 Actually, there are tabs for several other World War 2 factions on the left, like the Japanese, British, and some obscure ones, like Chinese Kuomintang and Italian soldiers
thx m8 i'll have a look!
Oh my god this music reminds me of AMOW series one
By golly darn, you covered everything but my very favorite pose
I can’t seem to find the original artists of the mold, but I have found that a company that makes a kit called “Military Defense Playset” that includes the poses in olive drab and knockoff timmee poses in dark green. It also has 2 M48 Patton tanks in dark green and olive drab. I would put a link in this comment but RUclips usually marks any comment with a link as spam so I’ll try to reply to this comment with the link

@@Mickamations I also had that set of army men it was my second set of army men but for some reason it didn't had the pointing guy
Mc Fata I bought quite a few of those bags and I think that they totally randomize the poses in each bag
I got those at walmart
U mean plastic apocalypse poses? The ones that Akkerman used for sergeant?
I personally like the poses that come in 1/32 models, because they are really 3-D (have a lot of plastic in them) easily paintable, as you put them together after you paint them, and really detailed. They are just really expensive, so I tend to just buy stuff from dollar tree
Thank you for the vid. I have been gathering army men and vehicles for a few months now so I can shoot a stop motion. It helps knowing some of the makers of the figures. I wasn't familiar with matchbox.
Thank you
Hey moe thanks for uploading this!
General Moe,The standing pose is very common at Amazon. You can buy it there or look at a local store.Another tip to find standing soilders is “True Hero” On Amazon
Iamwildfor Pikachu not for me
Thanks for the guid General, keep up the amazing work and have an awesome 2019!
Another great video! The green "BMC" guys with no bases were originally made by a company up in the Bronx called Lido. As a kid I played with them and liked the no-base feature because it allowed them to be placed in trees, climbing ladders, etc. I used to pretend they were a military police unit, since a few of them have pistols and lanyards and seem to be in sentry poses. As for the Timmee, they are now being done in a whole different bunch of colors, which is great because you can use the white as ski troops, the blue as navy, black as ss or commandos, red as communists, etc. They even now have purple, which reminds me of one of the all-time great comic book series from the 1960s; "M.A.R.S. Patrol", the Marine Attack Rescue Service. The enemy force had purple uniforms and tanks, etc.
What
@@louisbyrne8084 That's what I like; an intelligent remark.
You can get a big bucket of the match box ww2 army men u like on amazon for 20 dollars. There is also British and Japanese soldiers with it
Yeah getting it looks great
As of 2024, and 2023, i’ve been trying to get them. But they are currently unavailable..
The BMC Lido army men go great with the M41 Walker Bulldog tank that TimMee offers. I use those guys to go against my MPC Germans and my Armies in Plastic Russians although slightly off scale it's still cool. I think they should be made in tan in the future. :)
I have come back to this video many times, the references and review is very useful. Thanks!
Damn Army men rts Theme song in the background... so nostalgic...
Oo nga
The video was so complete and good
Timee will always be my favorite as the inherited Timee Vietnam era guys where top quality when I was young. I do love the Elite Forces figures they’re very reminiscent of the old Timee with a similar plastic which is flexible and not brittle. Another thing I like is the set I picked up came in a bucket where the top was actually a foxhole with wood bridge for the handle which was added play factor
Hey I am a stopmotion artist and I live in a area (not gonna say where for privacy) where in here 10:49 the machine gun, bazooka, rifle up,rifle down, walkie talkie, binoculars and there's also a uzi and a dude with a bag on his back but no weapons.since I don't live in America/Australia I see that there's some things that's not that normal for Americans/Australians because our baseplates for army men are either hexagonal or square and circle sometimes and youd be lucky do find anything here 11:51 except the ones I listed
My favorite is “ye old Marx & mpc guys from the 70’s”
Mine are the old medic guys that carries other woundend troop's
Armywarfair yes I actually have some
Sgtlott 10 I have some to
Sgtlott 10 I just have some knock offs
IMC productions from my collection video I will link it
omg that background music is from rts army men! that is my favorite game of all time! spent so many hours playing that
I am just starting out on RUclips, but your videos are a great motivation. Keep up the fun content.
At 13:42, concerning the paratroopers - I have a bunch of these 'generic' molds from when I was younger. Those are my favorites.
Where can I find more like these? I found the proper British ones, but I like the simplified version.
At walmart,ebay, amazon
I admit I have nearly all the knock offs but the British paratroopers knock offs are my most favourite (with others like timers and match box or whatever)
Genrel could u plse help me with the air ticks i cant find them
Elite Force has another set. It’s very modern solders with some heavy duty guns 💪🏽 check em out bro
A nicely detailed review, General. Well done, sir!
3 years after this video, and mixture of poses have gone random... Dunno if it is just depending on shops where one looks plastic soldiers from, perhaps...? I kinda miss those good ol' matchbox kits.
About those 'nam poses you said apeparing in early 2000s; those appeared here in Finland in 90s already... xD
You are so good at all the army men
HiI'm 11 years old and I admire your videos more than all your soldiers movies
I have 200 ww2 style army men some British styled some American styled some German styled and that’s all the styled army men i have they aren’t too detailed i have almost all of (possibly all of them) the Air Fix paratrooper poses and i’ve been subbed to general moe for like a year now possibly longer
Hey, can you link the true hero and match box USA army set? Thanks!
when is the next lego vs army men coming out i cant wait i saw the trailer by the way i love your channal
Nice one I use a group of army men for each colour
Green : airfix paratrooper, matchbox American infantry, cheap Chinese army men
Tan : airfix paratrooper, matchbox American infantry , Us marines , cheap Chinese army men and small 3cm army men
Grey: airfix paratrooper
Blue : airfix paratrooper
General moe True heroes and adventure force make this posses.
The timme soldier that had to have his hand remade is pretty much useful for being a dead guy
The soldier standing and firing and the Timmee/Timmee knockoff bazooka guy are my favorite poses. I've got so many bazooka guys and standing and firing guys in my collection!
Is there a site that shows more information about all different kinds of plastic army men? I've been searching and couldn't find one. That's also how I came to this (very helpful) youtube
bmc are recasts of lido. they also do recasts of marx and mpc. marx toys were the best detailed army soldiers during the 1960's from 2 inch scale us infantry to the 6 inch scale marines.
I like the knock off Timee ones because they usually have the grenadier holding the grenade as you showed. I think it was ...Hero Force...that had really good quality knock offs with the grenade...is that right? They had a better soft plastic feel too than the Adventure Force ones. I have a lot of all three but often can't remember correctly unless I'm looking at them. I'm pretty sure it was Hero Force I liked OVER Timmee because the price was so good and the buckets came with more stuff and the grenadier had a grenade.
I love the Lido guys. The pod feet...the poses...just wonderful.
This music brings back so many memories! "Ready to build! Where d'ya want it?"
You have voiced my concerns so accurately, I really wish Timmee had a standing and aiming mold
I wish they put the wheels back on the tanks
Nice video! Those overly-tall "BMC" figures you mentioned were originally made by "Lido" of the Bronx in New York City. I find them very useful as Military Police (or Air Police for the Air Force),or also they work well as Rangers because---since they lack bases----you can have them climbing trees or scaling cliffs or place them on ladders ( Back during WW2 the Marines had a similar unit called Carlson's Raiders, who did a lot of similar Ranger-type stuff, based on methods learned from the Chinese Communists). Also I agree with your thoughts on the Tim-Mee Vietnam guys; very useful backbone troops and good quality. I'd like to see you do a vid on plastic vehicles too---or have you already done it?
Check out the 1943 movie 'Gung Ho!' which is the story of Carlson's Raiders. It was great fun watching as a kid back in 1960 but not sure how it will fly these days. It was made during WW2 so doesn't hold back on making the Japanese look evil. But back in 1943 flag waving movies like this were needed to boost morale. The outcome of the war was still unknown.
@@miked6335 Thanks for your comment. I'm VERY familiar with "Gung Ho" and have it on DVD as a matter of fact. Great film, and you can tell it was made during the war because it has that fighting spirit to it. Carlson was quite a guy! As for the Japanese, most people today forget that popular sentiment was all for going in and bashing the Japs because of Pearl Harbor. But most people did NOT want to go to war with Hitler...it was considered to be a Euro thing and not our business. But FDR overruled everyone and declared war anyway, because he said "If we don't tackle Hitler now he'll get too powerful and we won't be able to tackle him later." Was he right?
I have currently true hero’s and timmee and it’s a really good combo, the true hero’s fill in those poses I always wanted to have the shooting standing guy, I really like the combo I recommend to get them 2 together
4:01 i can name all those brands, jaru xtreme team and imperial toys all of them are knock offs
At least its affordable and cheap unlike times
times is timee'
X-Ray Studios Presents well timmee is the best
I do army men stop motion also I always go for bmc because they are not very expensive and have lots of molds
My favourite were a set by ARCO. They did a special forces style set that basically just had a bunch of Rambo looking figures.
Airfix/matchbox seem good and I have a few, but only 2 since I got them at the dentist like 4 years ago, except for the German ones, I have 15 and I got them. Last year
Hi I'm new here. So I was wondering where did you get the first soldier design. In my country I only have the bizzare soldier so yeah
Bizaro soldeirs are good
For timmee, Check amazon, but amazon doesnt work for me so at your own risk.
Good luck. If you realy want good quality army men, timmee or even the toy story army men are great
Good luck
Nice poses
I have the German matchbox guys and I *LOVE* them so much! Best figures I have and I wanna get American
Me too. Most of my collection is filled with the German guys.
@@anubhabrakshit4340 Im trying to get american, so im making my germans colored to american vietnam era since i need more machine gun dudes
@@Husk2280 cool and my friend also colored his guys too but I actually had a lot of machine men but lost a lot of them as we moved to a different place. Its depressing and I gotta either color them or get new Americans.
Where do you buy them?
Army men will be in the harts of many
Very insightful! Great video too my man
5:08 that company died with toys r us

Awesome
I like the Matchbox US Infantry and the Matchbox Afrika Korps .... I have the rereleases available from Revell/Germany and from Hobby Bunker in the USA .... The knock off's of the US soldiers are ok and I do like them .... But for tan vs. green it's the Matchbox guys for me ....
There is a store near me where I found a couple drawers of the British airfix troopers for only 25 cents a guy. Super happy for finding them!
Tbh, I enjoy your normal voice.
So excuse me General Moe sir I gave the toy Army men soldiers a war speech to attack lego military forces.
i get my airfix ones from arcades or stuff like that
very jealous of the artillery gun in the background
Your videos are the best.
My first set was a bucket called elite operations. Although it doesn't say true heroes, it is all their molds.
Honestly i just go to walmart with $50 and leave with 50 or so bags of army men with tanks and planes and officers. Both green and tan ones.
I loved it and I just got Tim Mee army men for R 962 I am from Shouh-Africa
Thank you for making this video i learned alot thank you
22:14 the shotguy gun🤣🤣🤣
You should do armies in plastic there great
Как же это не честно, почему TIM MEE не продаются в России!!!!!😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😫😓😢😥
You can get them in eBay
9:43those poses are awesome I just have 64 of them :/
True I have 200 greens and 15 tan
I have around 134 greens and about 129 tans I have bought the same packet every year😁😁
@@thebirminghamtrainspotter8657 get some more tans also instead of buying green and tan packs buy just tan packs. 👍Hope this helps
In 10:09 when did u get the stand up shooting guy because that’s my favorite
When I said when it’s were btw I watched some of the video so I’m ok
14:05 captain macabre from plastic apocalypse!!

Amazon Australia. Postage is a bit pricy though.
thx m8 i'll have a look!
I can't find the air fix paratroop set (I think that's how you spell it) and I have a few fake ones and I'm hoping to get the original
. Anyone have any ideas where I could find any in 2024?
What brand and where do you get those army men on the front of this video, iv been trying to find them
Some match box figures on amazon if you look up ww2 army men
I have 2 elite forces buckets, though they are slightly shorter than the timmee molds
This really helped a lot thank you!!
I have grey American soilders, the one that you love
timmee also had sapper guys but for some reason they dont make them anymore
Respect 👌🏿👏🏻🤙🏻👏🏻
IT is a roumainian
Can you please tell me where you got that green pillbox in the background? I have been searching for something like it, but now it’s just getting ridiculous. I simply need something so army men aren’t worthless compared to my bunch of tanks.
Amazon, i think. I wasn't the one that brought them.
Awesome video
You should have allot more subs you always make good content I don’t get it
You inspire me to do Toy Soldiers
sir you can find that soldiers you cannot find on walmarkt.com
im trying to find the grey German ones, no luck yet :/
I found it in a set called big buket of army men ww2
@@ronaldzilla_yt6746 oh thanks! can you give a link please?
Tim Mee and Matchbox are my dream to get but I never get them because I live in the Philippines and most army men there are just some worse or kinda ok ones so if any of you can tell me where to get these ones as cheap then thank you!
I know that you can get Tim Mee army men on Amazon, and also on Amazon there is a WW2 bucket that comes with Matchbox amry men.
@@maxrebo8196 *Clears throat* I live in the philippines and I'm not old enough to get money from other countries let alone travel, and I still live with my family as a minor
@@reverse-psychology1999 oh okay.
Yo apenas tengo 16 soldados de plastico ustedes también hablan español dame un corazon
Timmee Toys Vietnam-Era will always be my favorite. Its because of their details, originality, and color. Customizing them is so simple, they already have the green uniform color. I never like skin color painting, it will ruin my soldiers.
Matchbox american is a good one, i usually get the knockoff since those are easier to get.
BMC isn’t good. They lack detail and the molds hurt my hands. Only good part is their stands. They are perfect.
I think you didn't see BMC Iwo jima set if you then you wouldn't say that about BMC
Where did you get the airfix tan British Paratrooper set I can not find it on amazon or eBay
There are probably knockoffs
I know who makes a few of the gulf war poses let me know if you want more of those and/or some of their vehicles let me know and i will find some places to purchase them
I have the captain as a lieutenant and I love the lmg guy
Ive got new army men recently and ive never seen them before and they look like ww1/ww2 figures
What frames do you use to make stop motions
I think he said in one of his videos he uses 12 frames per second
Oi where do I find those amazing matchbox soldiers without putting me in debt?
What is the name of the set for the airfix paratroopers? (13:30)
I wanna see if I can find it
WW2 British Paratroopers
Great video 👍
UMMMMMM

FACE REVEAL AND THE LEGO VS. ARMY MEN? PART2? I WOULD LOVE TO WATCH THAT
Can someone like give me a link to someone or some company selling Gray army men tanks? Because I only need them to finish off the armoured teams.
I know timmee toys sells grey tanks and grey soldiers.
Nice work!
For some reason, I have so many army men but I don't have that crouched M16 guy shooting something
