Even though you understand something fully, sometimes you can’t seem to remember that at the right time when you get to speak. In that sense, I personally don’t know what to say when it comes to me speaking.

A fluent speaker can think of a way to respond. There are always many many ways to say things, so even if one is forgotten, they don't get stuck. :)

My big problem is I don’t even know how to get to the advanced level and I either don’t even know which level of English I’m in as I have been learning online and didn’t get a chance to go to college I’m so confused and frustrated for not being able to speak fluently since I’m learning for quite awhile, apart from that my bad side is I’m a kind of person who wouldn’t dare to speak in public, I feel like giving up

Hello Teacher, thank you for one more lesson about English as a second language. I agree with you when we have doubts is too difficult to start speaking in English we don't want to make mistakes. But as soon as possible we start to speaking English we're going to improve our pronunciation.

Hello. I wonder if we can expand your way to other stuff we deal with in our life. I wish I had found this way much earlier. They thought us with old fashioned, learning words to speak method. Most of our teachers were more doubt creators than teachers!
I try to guide my friends towards your channel! Thank you

This is not 100% related to fluency but it can affect it too so I would say that most of people including me are stuck between the area of getting exposed to new vocabulary everyday where they put too much effort in translating and writing down each word as an attempt to not forget that vocabulary again which could be really daunting sometimes and the area of keep exposing to the language without focusing too much on vocabulary expansion which is an easier approach but it could make the learners of the language feel guilty for letting a new word go which they might come across at some point in the future and can't remember what it actually means so they can use it in speaking confidently.
However, we should find something in between those two areas so as to learn the language in an effecient and effective manner and at the same time acquiring it the same way native speakers do.

The solution is what I call "naturally varied review," where you get exposed to vocabulary in different ways, like from different speakers, in different contexts, and more. This naturally builds understanding, makes vocabulary memorable without boring repetition, and ultimately eliminates the doubts that stop you from speaking. :)

Hey Drew, the main problem I still have is not understanding some people, just because of the way they speak. Even though I know the words they say perfectly.
For example, I feel like I understand you very well. As I’ve been used to your way of speaking for a while now and I’m really comfortable with it. :)
But very often, I don't understand other people even though I know most of the words they use perfectly, but only because of their pronunciation, or the way they speak... Because I don't recognize the words. It's a shame. And so frustrating!
How can I improve this kind of thing please? I'm so excited to get there. ;)

    • @EnglishAnyone
