Hey Steve, I’ve got an 08 wr250f, which I quite like. I’m thinking of giving it to my son and getting either the exc350 or a 2019 wr250f (last of the kick starts). Having ridden both, what do you reckon? We don’t ride as much single trail as you, mainly trails near the Zig Zag railway, and one day I’d like to go up to the Cape. Any thoughts would be much appreciated. And thanks for your videos. They’re really well edited and narrated.
After watching some of your videos, you are doing the same kind of riding I want to do. I just got a 350 exc-f and I also have a drz400s, so I am excited about the weight loss I will experience. So I wanted to know what tires (brand/model) are using or what do you recommend for the terrain you have been riding in your videos (I still have stock tires on mine)? You also mentioned that you were going tubeless. Do you find that helps with the rocky terrain or is there not that much of a difference? Any difference in the number of flats or tire pinches? Thanks and keep up the great vids of the 350 exc-f.
That is one seriously rutted trail! Around here they would either close a trail like that or completely abandon it and never let you ride on it. I don't like those kind of heights either.
Kudo's to those who like this sort of terrain. Looks more survival than fun IMO. Don't personally like creaping around in first gear trying to clear rocks etc. Motorbike is one thing though, but have no idea how the f#$% those 4WD's get through that.
Monkey gum is awesome last time for me was coming down. Me and my 350 had a swim in the creek at the bottom.
Thanks for compliment about my GU Patrol. Good to see you boys that day. Still reckon you guys had it way harder on bikes than we did in our 4wds.
You guys did well to drive that trail I was considering driving my Hilux though there but after seeing your video I think I will give it a miss lol.
Track has changed in the last 10 yrs once rode my Yamaha XT600 up Monkey gum it would be near impossible today lol
It's got some challenges in their
Nice work, Steve. A quality ride and production cheers, Dougie.
