Slow dancing MV is about a scientist who made an alternate universe for himself because he is alone in reality. People around him are actually himself. That's all in his imagination because he is trapped alone. The place where he is going on a trip, is actually his miniature creation. He is virtually creating every character around him by himself to not feel lonely. At the end of the day he falls asleep and wakes up in his real world where he is alone with his pet in his apartment.💜It's the overall theory🥹This is real therapy guysss!!!!! This is healing!!! I don't know if you caught it but basically V was creating his own world with his imaginary friends.
If you rewatch it you'll see how scenes transition from his studio to his imaginary world.

His music is amazing, he give you jazz, pop and soul R&B vibes, them he is smart. And in top of that his voice OMG ❤
I intrepreted this as him reminiscing, reliving the past. If you noticed, Yeontan cgi'd in the mountains, when on the beach there were two people with computer cases one with fruit and one with a laptop, him floating alone in the ocean, his face glowing in his mirror, and him at his apartment looking through old film, etc. And Yeontan glowed in the camera image and wasnt there when he got up and walked away. I think the entire video is a computer simulation of past times.... and a total vibe. 💜
Yes, there also is a Yeontan cloud in the sky when they are driving through the mountains. I guess he is not simply reminiscing, he is recreating. All the equipment in his studio, all the small scale models.
Remember when he walks from the mirror to that small room? Where the small figurine does all the same movements he does? That must be him "shooting" for this memory-film. And he plays all the roles, because when they are taking a polaroid in the car the developing picture doesn't show the different people, every person in the polaroid becomes him.
And as you said, not even Yeontan is really there, at the end he walks away alone.
That makes three videos with different vibes about being alone, doesn't it?
I wonder what the videos for "For Us" and "Blue" will be like.
Oh, and the guy with the laptop at the beach: with those green on black letters the monitor gives Matrix vibes
Slow Dancing is such a beautiful and chill song!! The aesthetics is so refreshing. So artistic and creative. Kim Taehyung looks so good. This album is absolutely beautiful , every song makes you feel something this album is the best of 2023 I love all the songs so much and are my favs!!! It’s a piece of his mind and soul and it’s appreciated. I’m just blown away!!!!

top 10 Billboards 200 Global charts, and some of these songs like For Us, Slow Dancing, Rainy Days and Blue deserve to be alease top 20 or top 10 songs on Hot BBAs 100 charts for real especially For Us, Blue, and 'Slow Dancing for sure it's so good. 🥰✌️💜

Tae mentioned that the album is called ‘layover’ as it’s a stop in a journey and not the final destination. He said it reflects his plan to do several albums trying out different styles until he reaches his final goal (destination) with the sound he wants to express with his music. This album is to show us his real musical tastes as Kim Taehyung and not bts v. Tae says it’s an album we should listen to on the road, when we get back from work, at sunset to chill, de-stress and relax. His aim is not billboard charts, but to put out authentic music that reflects him a part of him as a person. Tae’s music is for the connoisseurs of fine music and this album is a timeless classic and all the songs are growers, the more you listen to them then better they keep sounding. Love that Tae said no no to the mainstream pop music, didn’t follow that band waggon and said nope, I’m gonna give you my own genre. ‘Blue’ and ‘For Us’ are a chef’s kiss on an amazing album

I could be wrong but if I look at the first 3 Mvs as one it gives me the whole story: In Love Me Again he is all alone in that beautiful yet lifeless cave, heartbroken, almost paralyzed about the loss of someone he loved. In Rainy Days we see him with his little companion, Yeontan who keeps him sane and he slowly starts creating a world for himself where he paints a self-portrait of himself as an alien. In Slow Dancing that fantasy world is coming to a completion where he can feel free and happy, reliving those happy memories he once had. A bit of escapism sometimes can help to work through the pain of loss and come out on the other side. Tae is such a beautiful and creative soul. I love and appreciate it so much that he chose to create something that truly represents his feelings and who he is. I'm honestly mind-blown by him. This album was so worth the wait. For me, Layover and D-Day are the albums of the year because of their artistic integrity.

If you didn’t realize, the Polaroid was all of him. People are saying they are friends he made up (imaginary friends) that are his style/ personalities of himself. Not sure, but makes sense. V is a really deep thinker. Maybe he will explain it later.
In the music video, Tae makes an artificial world for himself. Friends are also imaginary. That's why lab. This gives a slightly melancholic feel to the music video. 💜

I believe it’s not real, it’s a fantasy, he’s the guy in the cave, the makeshift lab, the apartment high up, experiencing his ideal life through screens, telescopes, sculptures and creations, daydreaming. He always ends up alone, or just with Tan, looking off thoughtfully, nostalgically, wishfully.
He gives a number of visual cues that this is a fantasy in this one, all building off the first two MV’s.
Plus the surreality of looking at oneself through the lens all the time, but maybe wishing he had more ability to control what’s on both sides of that looking glass.
And he’s singing “we could be slow dancing, romancing”. We could be..

I was waiting for your reaction! I have loved each song thus far-and Slow Dancing is such a soothing, addictive vibe-my husband added the addictive word while he was listening last night-I adore the flute-my favorite part and it will never get old-what I love about this-50 years from now and longer and Slow Dancing will still be fresh and timeless and playing in the background somewhere the way George Michael's first single-Careless Whisper does-Taehyung is producing that sort of timeless work... or go even further back and compare it to the work of jazz composers from the first half of the 20th century that I can't even begin to name but have listened to my entire life. When you add the MV and the narrative it brings, the song goes next level and Kim Taehyung, to me, is expressing that part of himself that is different from the V that ARMY has always known--he said at the last FESTA gathering before the break that he wanted to show ARMY that other side of himself, and, in closing his remarks, he asked for our support-then Jung Kook quickly added, " Please think of it as a new us."
As I've watched this summer, I've been impressed by the intricately choreographed nature of what I am noticing in the rollout of Jung Kook's music, his ad campaigns, his lives, and Taehung's music, promotional campaign-especially with the extensive photo shoots that he did--the visuals. What I am noticing is subtle, tasteful, but deliberate on the part of men who are now adults. They have repeatedly expressed their love for ARMY this summer and I hope ARMY can see and support what they are trying to express. This has to be hard for them.
