- A brief look at the history of the spring associated with St. Bernadette in Lourdes, France. People come from all over the world to visit this holy place and sample the precious water that has been associated with miraculous cures. Although water from this spring is not Holy Water as defined, one would think so by the sheer numbers of people making the pilgrimage to this site. For those of us who have not had the good fortune to have visited Lourdes, "real" Lourdes water can be obtained online, guaranteed to have come from the sacred spring to you. Whether you area believer or not, you can't escape the feeling that there is something going on here that defies reason.
My daughter visited Lourdes and brought me a bottle of the water in hospital. I put some on my sore back and got relief. When I got home I discovered she had drunk the other one. Weeks later she was very unwell and her paediatrician arranged for her to have open heart surgery (aged12) She is now 52 and I am still grateful.

Oh yes, I believe that drinking the water led to her being so ill that the doctors decided to do the heart surgery which extended her life. When were at the hospital one woman said her baby was the same and was getting the operation, "why did I not have the operation done earlier?" Because in 1970 they wouldn't offer an operation.
Weeks later she was dead
For those of us who cannot make it, Thank you for walking us through the pilgrimage of our Lady of Lourdes.

I was so Blessed to have been in Lourdes France twice..all my prayers were answered!!
I set my television on live TV on Lourdes in my house every day so if I can't go there you can bring Lourdes in your home and it feels so good as if you are there and I say the rosary with the priest and others from Lourdes thanks to technology. Hail Mary full of grace,,❤

She is always watching over us.
My neck was infected. I tried several medications for a long time and nothing was working. I was in france and decide to visit Lourdes. I listened to the mass at 7:00 am then I washed my head, face and neck with the water of the fountain. After two days my neck was getting heald and feeling much better.
Lourdes is an espiritual place with an amazing nature and a wonderful energy.
Don't get lost in the stores or the shopping.

I usually visit one of her pilgrimage here in Africa and immersion has been stopped since COVID happened. We are advised to wait until Mary permits us to bath like usual

My Dream as a Child was and still is to Visit Lourdes and bathe Myself in the healing waters, then visit The main chapel of the Convent of St. Gildard in Nevers, France. Where the body of St. Bernadette, still incorrupt, lies.

The special of the water is that it dries on it's own, my father has been in the bath and didn't have to dry himself.

That was my experience also back in 1985. After full immersion there are no towels. You just put on your clothes and you feel dry.

I have been in Lourdes 12 times it is the most beautifull place I have ever seen its a very special place you get this wonderfully feeling its like a different planet and feel safe hope to go back again to pray to our lady and Bernadette for my wife who is sick with something that is not cureable unfortunately

I visited Lourdes Grotto when i was 34.one of the most memorable pilgrimage of my life.i went with my mother and brother.i'll save money so i can visit again,hopefully with a sister and daughter.i'm 74 now.Dipped in the cold grotto water was an extraordinary experience.
