I saw this concert at the Musical Instruments Museum. One of the very best guitar concerts I've ever seen. Incredible playing by both men....If you ever get the chance to see these two together, don't miss it.....Go!!
Two great masters at work here, what a wonderful treat for the end of the year. I had not heard Bireli Lagrene play other than gypsy jazz but he is obviously incredibly versatile.
Birelli and Taylor making straight-ahead jazz guitar "sexy" again. Every note crisp, clear. Most wonderful intonation and chord progressions. I listen to a lot of jazz guitarists; Martin Taylor one of the great virtuosos of our time❤q
Not one bum note detected! But seriously, what a change to really hear the unique, woody tones of each guitar without harsh effects. Both these guys making them sing like seasoned jazz singers. Happy new year to all.
Never heard a jazz guitarist with better tone than Martin Taylor....This was a remarkable concert. Never saw a better guitarist than Birelli Lagrene
