I love that he started off with this kind of fake detective noir style voice, but whenever he'd speak with his family you see this somewhat awkward bumbling father who is trying to keep up with his children's antics. The fake voice slowly started to drift away as the situation of the city's fate truly began to dawn upon Cerrit, where he realized all the double talking, and holier than thou mentality in the long run wasn't the most important thing to him, we finally see him molt out of his persona of the greatest detective in the city, to a father who finally decides to keep his promise to his family.
Yeah.. yeah I've been thinking of rewatching/relistening to Calamity at work and this just confirms that I can't go through it without crying so I'm not gonna do that in public, thank you very much
Damn it man the feels. Brennen and travis both man! Jesus! This hits me so hard even though I don't have children but still the idea of being so obsessed with something that you miss all the good around you -- so emotional
It's funny that Cerrit's roll for the investigation of dis-animated hodmedod where he got the first glimpse of Vespin Chloras was a 31 and the roll to decide if he'd get to keep his promise was also a 31.

good job, you made me feel the feels
The Cerrit sub-arc and the Coramar-Seelie sub-arc just absolutely wreck me emotionally. Every. Single. Time.
