Awesome tour, Jimmy. Thanks for opening your doors to us. I actually brought home to NC an old drafting table that I found on the streets of New York! I was able to take it apart and load all but the top into my luggage. I did the same with an old Mixmaster mixer from the streets of Lancaster PA. Yeah, I've got the sickness too. Scott
+jimmydiresta Hey Jimmy I'm just 15 years old and like kind of the same style as you. I just started out to do RUclips would be really cool if you check it out
Hi JImmy, congrats with the 600k subs, and thanks for sharing this video. Very nice to see where you live and what stuff you surround yourself with. And nice to see Taylor as well, can't wait to see her first video!
Wow! this is why I love living near where your farmhouse is. My farm house was built in 1856 but the adjoining acreage has a the remains of an old grist mill I wish I had some of the old grinding stones. I'm sure on your journeys around the area you have seen many around homes and hamlets etc. Thanks for sharing.
Having lived in upstate NY your video brings back memories. You know what came to mind? Last fall on Making It Podcast you mentioned wanting to open your property up to the Maker community...one group activity could be is that each cohort could collectively work on a something of yours that could use restoring (e.g. the table, etc.). Reminds me of all the items I see on the sidewalks of San Francisco on my way to and from work each day.
Man, thanx your awesome to watch. Gives me a different view when we go out. Truck is busted right now but we have loaded it up. Thanx keep up the good work
Now that's a house, each piece of furniture has a story. Gotta appreciate that in a world where Swedish standardized furniture is taking over. I found this comment sitting in a garbage can in the streets of New York, as it it, didn't change anything.
Most times I've heard, "Found in the streets of New York," in less than 30 minutes! Great collection and thanks for the tour! Btw, my garage is starting to fill up with stuff I pick from "the streets of Boston." ;-)
jimmy we love you buddy. Thanks for sharing your world with us man. I hope one day I can get up to NY, go by your booth and get a piece I can hand down to my boys. Maybe three ice picks! Take Care.
It was nice of you to bring us along and open up your home for us. It was also good to see Taylor for more than a flash. Have her on more often, she classes up your videos. :)
It's nice to see the other side of you Jimmy. The bit add the end with the Mrs made me laugh. As that's exactly what my Mrs says. Or I get when we see things oh no you don't just leave it, we haven't got the room.☺️
Congrats on 600k Jimmy! Thanks for the incredible builds, awesome videos and some of the behind the scenes stories! Great stuff! One question,... where did you find Taylor?!?!?
Thank you Mr. DiResta. I also got the sickness from my uncle and my father. Feels good to know that there are others around who also got that love for tools, materials and ol stuff.
Love that old house. The lamp with the large bulb fixture at the end is a mogul and usually a 3 way light. I've replaced many of those bulbs for my grandparents and parents over the years. Most hardware stores still carry them. Very cool video, too. I'm a new subbie.
I feel comforted knowing that if I ever get lost in the streets of New York, I'll end up at Diresta's house.
"This human sitting at some stairs. Found in the street in New York"

I picked a Bad day to play a drinking game and have a shot every time diresta says on the streets of new York!
Beautiful home Jimmy, thank you for the vid!
Someone cut and edit up all the "Streets of New York" bits, put a techno beat under it, and send it to theneedledrop. It has to be done :D

LoL I did the same thing, wife is always giving me that look... "No more projects husband!" and somehow I always end up with more projects than time.
If im not mistaken they are not married. I saw in one of his videos he said "Taylor my girl friend"
They will probably get married when she is old enough.
