A lot of big christian bands disguise their pop music as worship music which is not great either. 'Send me out' might be my favorite biblical reference and to hear it screamed so powerfully gave me chills. God cares what is in our hearts, and clearly these lyrics come from a point of desperation and need for God's purpose for your life.

I personally believe in discernment. I like Christian metalcore but not the heavy metal. Metalcore is a perfect mix of singing and the scream. Sadly, during my time at the church I grew up in, I was alone. Very alone. The people in the church were about themselves and very judgmental yet they offered no real help but they were quick to tell you what you were doing wrong. However, God used music to push me forward. I started out with the wrong metal, now after a lot of discernment, I listen to what benefits my Spirit and what connects me with God. Sometimes it even makes me cry. But to be frank, not every band that says they are Christian are Christian. And it's not only metal. Some people come onto these posts because they don't like metal and think it's evil. I see pastors invite people, who have nothing to do with God or the Church, to sing because they are black and started off in Church. I've grown up with people trying to put this mentality on me. Nasty mouthed hip-hop and pop singers doing duets with gospel artists who claim to have nothing to do with the world. Christian contemporary artists hailing sacrilegious singers because they are black. It's been very one-sided. Know for thyself. There are two dogs in your yard. One of them is the carnal one and the other the spiritual. Feed the wrong dog and he destroy you. Everything in moderation and watch out for what attaches itself to your Spirit. For all the brothers and sisters who love metal, rock on but be careful what you raise your hands to. Everything in love peeps.

A lot of Christians or I should say fundamentalists don't approve Rock music nor contemporary Christian music. They all say Hymns and Psalms are the way to worship. I listen to both Christian Metal and CCM but not hymns...
I guess I was so pumped with the riff and then was super let down when the "lead vocalist" started the classic growl. I find very little new music that has great guitars without the non understanding growl with no melody.
Instead of Metalcore, you'd probably like Progressive Metal better. Check out ROB ROCK. I have a couple videos on this channel. No growling and lots of guitar solos.
This band is band would do better to leave themselves out of their videos. The lead singer doing the running man killed it for me. Combine that with close ups of the guitarists gut and it's a major buzz kill.

A lot of Christians or I should say fundamentalists don't approve Rock music nor contemporary Christian music. They all say Hymns and Psalms are the way to worship. I listen to both Christian Metal and CCM but not hymns...

I guess I was so pumped with the riff and then was super let down when the "lead vocalist" started the classic growl. I find very little new music that has great guitars without the non understanding growl with no melody.
Instead of Metalcore, you'd probably like Progressive Metal better. Check out ROB ROCK. I have a couple videos on this channel. No growling and lots of guitar solos.
I listen to all kinds of metal...but I didn't know that there was Christian metal.My fav Genre is MetalCore.God Bless U all!

This band is band would do better to leave themselves out of their videos. The lead singer doing the running man killed it for me. Combine that with close ups of the guitarists gut and it's a major buzz kill.
