I have NO IDEA why everyone was taking the little fresh pacers. It’s laughable. I said it then and I’ll say it again; with or without giannis this is the bucks series.
And then they start making excuses for the Pacers instead of crediting the Bucks defense for how they shot! We were NOT leaving them wide open for three the majority of the time. We closed out well, and the guys who were left open were low volume three point shooters who aren't a threat from three, and don't need aggressive close outs to make them miss. Instead we prioritized shutting down the paint when those players were on the floor, and it worked! The guys who were a threat from outside we shut down with our rotations and close outs. These fools can't even read advanced tracking data and do their jobs to realize that tho.
Here's why. Indiana went 4-1 against Milwaukee in the regular season (None of them with Doc Rivers) and ESPN knows that the Bucks are the only thing standing in the way of a Knicks vs Celtics ECF.

Also most of the threes were NOT wide open. We closed out on a lot of those threes, and we choose who to leave open to shut down the paint. If you knew the scouting report, and actually did your jobs, you'd realize thay the guys who were left open were the low volume three point shooters who were not a threat, and anyone who is a MAJOR threat from 3 was closed out on aggressively. Our defense was fantastic, and you continue to take credit away from our team. You continue to be disrespectful and disingenuous

If you watch the games Darko is teaching IQ how to manage the game & manipulate defense not just jacking up shots. They have already laid out a plan for all three core players (IQ, Barnes & RJ) to not only work on their games together but to build chemistry. Darko already has RJ using his right hand something that he hasn't done 4 yrs on the Knicks roster. He knows he got to work on his 3 pt shot & most importantly his defense.
