Soken is a genius, but this was actually Nobuo Uematsu's original Empire theme with the arrangement done by Takafumi Imamura. FFXIV has the best sound team in gaming for my money. People have no idea what is coming musically in FFXVI.
I really hope Endwalker isn't the last time we hear about the Empire. I know Garlemald is rebuilding, but there are other legions still out there holding onto territory. I want to see Gaius return to the MSQ, and I feel like the only way that'll happen is if something like Werlyt happens in the main story--something that forces Gaius to face his past and work to create a new Garlemald alongside Maximus and Lucia.

I like how, even though we fight this Emerald Weapon on land, some of the instruments used still give the track a bit of a aquatic feel.
