I followed your instructions exactly and everything was fine and I'm not sure what happened but now I get UCxx device not found. I have gone through the installation several times but still when I get to the CNCdrive utility and open it up the scan brings back the message UCxx device was not found. What do I do?

      Thank you for your support.
Did you purchase your UC-400 from me?
If you didn't then I would recommend you contact the vendor you bought it from for support as they should provide it free of charge, as I charge for third party support.
If you don't know what happened then I would have to schedule a Microsoft Teams remote consultation to see what's happening.
      Thank you,
      Vince

Hi Vince. While searching for more information on my ethernet card , I went into the properties and found under the power management tab a box that was checked "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power". Does this box need to be unchecked while I am using the UC400ETH? Great video, I got my UC400ETH up and communicating.

Hey Jeff, Yes you can turn it off, but most of the time its not required as once your in Mach3 the unit's always in use, and not idle. Thank you,
      Vince

what do you think of the Gecko G320X? I've been looking everywhere online for a review and can't find one. The only video I can find is from Gecko.

Thank you for your support. The G320x is an excellent drive, but they provide essentially the same performance as Gecko's G203v.
The stepper, servo debate has been going on since robotics inception.
Here's unbiased proof reflecting they provide the same accuracy. ruclips.net/video/1ASXZurORDo/видео.html
Here's another video covering the comparison of both types. ruclips.net/video/Exk7ORteS0o/видео.html
Speed of your chassis depends on the transmission being used which levels the playing field between the two options. The additional cost of encoder cables will increase end users systems in labor as well.
      Thank you,
      Vince

@@corvetteguy50 So I'm 46 min into the first video. I'm learning a ton! I'm a machine designer (mechanical designer) who is stuck working with controls engineer that will only use high dollar Allen Bradley servo motors for every application when I constantly have scenarios that are perfect for stepper motors. I have enough pull I could force the issue from time to time, but I don't want to talk out my ass. I just need to get more educated, so I don't put my foot in my mouth. lol I've subscribed :)
