I just bought a wedge of Mimolette a few days ago when I visited The Cheese Shop in Carmel-by-the-Sea (California). I'd never had it before and it's absolutely delicious...and not ridiculously expensive.

Hi. Happy to read that. Mimolette is excellent on crackers, or to make appetizers. But i thought the US customs banned import of mimolette because of some potential allergy issue or something. Did the law change ?

We received a case of two Mimolette balls yesterday for my specialty cheese department. This video made my job 1000000000% easier! Thank you for making it easy to understand AND work-friendly. 😊

    Best cheese ever!
Expensive though. 20$ for a small wedge cut.

Yeah, tried this with the same instrument, clearly I need some more leverage, hah! I figured it out eventually ;)

I love this cheese, but as a consumer, I seem to be unable to get all the cheese from any of the various cuts. I leave too much that is close to the rind.

I'm confused... I thought the US was not allowed to sell Mimolette after 2013? Is this Canada? Or have the laws been lifted haha

Yeah, I was hoping for a lovely French accent or English subtitles. She sounds as though this could be a how-to video filmed in Wis-can-son. . . meh.

It's quite cheap in france; a couple of bucks for 200 gr. But it's worth to pay whatever they ask for it.

I pay 5 US dollars for 100 grams. I'm assuming you pay around the same for 200?

@@gateway833 In France it costs around 5-8 eur per 200 grams. One of my fav cheese for toasts in the microwave oven.

Well then show us how it is done. This is a difficult cheese to deal with at a cut to order shop. No cheesemonger would want to cut this cheese when it is cold. Best for a grab and go set-up.
